Bandits v Tigers, BSN Series, 18/04/26

Recommended Posts

Shielfield Park, tomorrow night. 7PM (England time)/7PM (Scotland time).

Love Shielfield. Those third and fourth bends can make or break a rider and even unchallenged, seeing a rider go around Berwick, full throttle, is a thing of beauty.

I’m going to for another draw on the road. I think it’ll be close; I think the Bandits have put together a side with a lot of potential, but we’re strong too.

As will be the case often in the early stages of the season, a lot will depend on if or how Hausl and Juhl Pedersen adapt to the track. Being left alone with their own thoughts for the duration of that back-straight could be dangerous.

Could be a tough one for Berwick. Some of the bandits have had little track time. lasse has done well at Berwick in the past, Palovaara hasn’t ridden here much, Battye never been round the place competitively. I think if the new bandits can hit the ground running it will be close but some of the Tigers know the place like the back of their hand. Hopefully a close meeting with a bandits win of course 😉

Can see a Tigers win unless on of our reserves has a very good night.

I think jack has to be showing he can improve and at least up his average to what he originally joined on. Can’t be too hard on Reid until he has a few home matches under his belt but he needs to be proving he is worth the 4 point spend or it negates Morris’s bargain average. I think it will be closer than last night but as you say we will need some stand out performances to take the win.

Fair play Berwick, almost snuck BP too! Glasgow and Poole definitely going to find it a lot harder for away wins this season.

Dickson must be pleased with his week for both teams!

So far Glasgow have got results with Harris and Howarth scoring 13/14 each which has kept them in meetings by carrying others.

One of them has an off night like tonight and they’ll struggle, might be different if one of the reserves step up more or the wee German improves a bit on recent showings so far.

Fair assessment but it’s very early days for all teams let’s see how it unfolds over the coming weeks.

We are still in a very strong position in the group and let’s be honest this trophy is just a warm up to blow away the cobwebs.

Not taking anything away from Berwick who we’re the better team tonight and deserved the win , whilst we stumbled over the line for the bonus point mainly thanks to Leon Flint.
