Looks like Plymouth are strengthened by using R/R for Grmek!

Annoys me that clubs can sign a rider & get a facility in their 2nd match, having only ridden once - especially when there's Brits without team places.

Maybe but Flint is also missing for Glasgow, so it's not just overseas riders affected.

That's a good point & given me something to think about.

I guess because Flint has ridden every Glasgow match this season that doesn't bother me, but a rider appears once, doesn't score a point & now Plymouth get a facility, doesn't sit right with me.

However, it would seem odd if Glasgow got a facility & Plymouth didn't with riders racing in the same event!

If Plymouth didn't sign him they would have still got a facility for tobias thomsen so no idea why it doesn't sit right with you makes no sense.

You must be incandescent with rage that Northampton are using R/R for Iversen then.

Sadly, these kind of meetings show how little the competitions mean in the eyes of the promoters...

Why run such meetings knowing FIM meetings are taking place?

By definition the riders missing will be the "better ones" too....

If an independent body existed then this meeting wouldn't have happened or RR would have been the only facility...

If the riders qualify then there will be even more clashes ..

The UK has to stop "making up Speedway" as it does it no favours...

There will be, I am sure, promoters out there wondering again how the local ice hockey team can get double their crowds..

And a if a track needs to bring in an overseas rider due to not having enough UK riders of the required level, then that is squarely down to their lack of focus on UK rider development over the past few decades...

The vicious circle will continue unless UK rider development becomes the No1 priority for tier two in particular....

You need fans to take the sport seriously if you want it to be successful...

I presume those who run it as a hobby don't feel the need to run it that way...

Glasgow streaming this match tonight

Was talking to a Glasgow supporter on Saturday night, asking why Glasgow didn't stream and he said they had difficulty getting volunteers to do it then hey presto, sure Glasgow will get a lot of neutrals watching

Don’t think that was the real reason somehow.Income source from away and neutral supporters is probably the reason they have changed their policy. iMO.Also present fuel crisis thrown in.

Astonishes me how many riders encounter bike troubles.

Three heats, two riders (Lambert and Pedersen) on zero points due to bike issues.

Pedersen - who has been outstanding - didn’t leave the start line in heat fourteen last week.

I’m by no means a mechanical subject matter expert, but is it too much to ask a fairly non-complex motorbike to last sixty seconds?😂

A former Road Racer made the same comment to me years ago.Very little EF’s in Road Racing and the bikes are the limit most off the time.
