I would imagine they would be pleased to have Northampton reaching the play offs given the plan is to sell up as soon as it is shown to be a viable proposition... Some being the operative word. Many didn’t embrace the big picture thinking and the fact that six was better than five for the good of the sport as a whole. Some of the cartel pushed back with one jumping ship completely. In another point, it’s ace to see Jaimon & Tom lining up at number one for their respective teams.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv Posted yesterday at 09:21 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:21 AM A poor spectacle from a racing point of view kept a little more interesting by the unexpected start by Northampton taking the lead Stream was decent with improvements to the graphics Camera angle still too narrow on occasions meaning you missed a background tussle - which is more important action than a close up of the leader imo

paulnolan Posted yesterday at 12:55 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:55 PM Again, I'd have taken that result beforehand. Lidsey looks like he's stepping up the responsibility of being a number one. There's an obvious weak link but he may turn out to be a Brafield specialist! That may be but it was good to see him there nonetheless. Andrew Chisholm has been assigned as general manager and in charge of day to day running so he doesn’t need to be there himself. If anything, he may have been a little TOO hands on! Seemed from the footage he was picking the riders for heat 15! Pretty sure that’s the managers job! They may have already been selected though and he was just giving the two a word of encouragement.

I caught that too 😂 pretty sure those decisions were already made and like you say, he was just giving both riders some encouragement. Packed their team with average riders , decent scorers if it’s their day . Would find it hard to be entertained by them. No big hitters. As it’s about entertainment at the end of the day, hats off to Lemon. Kurtz and Bewley as two of the most exciting raiders in the world provide that home and away. The Aces fans are thankful for that . Other clubs and their supporters should be too . Never mind what the rest of Belle Vue team is like. These two more than make up for anything else . Who cares who wins the honours?? Just enjoying the racing is what matters imo Every single non neutral on here who has a team to support despite what they’ll try and tell us. I take your point on the first issue though and I actually agree with you. I can only speak for myself here, but for me there’s definitely been something missing in these opening meetings. That star quality is missing. I always looked forward to the opening heat because Emil or Doyle were in it, same for every other heat they were in. That is now missing and the fact (with all due respect to him) Musielak is now the highlight and the races I now most look forward to speaks volumes from my perspective. As does the fact I plumped for a season ticket again this year, but still couldn’t be bothered to make the trip across town to go so paid another 15 quid to watch it at home instead! I regret now getting one but if it’s a similar style of line up next year I certainly won’t be getting another and will watch the odd stream instead.

Eastbourne did a tremendous job of helping Tom from raw junior to last pick RS and clubs like that are sadly missed. Seeing him rise from last pick RS to FIM gold winner then occupying the 2nd heatleader spot at Birmingham after we released him was marvellous. I’m proud of all The Aces number 1 alumni and look forward to their visits to the NSS. Edited 7 hours ago by ouch For accuracy

Surely next seaon the Top 4 aim has to be Doyle, Brennan, Musielak and King?

Do you think Doyle will be back great rider with true grit but can't have to many seasons left in him especially with all the bad knocks he's had over the years. You can still earn a fair few quid as a No1 over here given the paucity of talent when compared to Poland, Sweden, and now, Denmark...
