The footage was sent to the box, presumably to the announcer, or the commentators or someone. Not via Blair, but for what it’s worth I don’t really like him, bring back Dick Barrie. 2

Neila
Another grumble the sound system at Berwick needs sorting out, I was stood at the end of the stand just before the 3rd bend and got a mixture of speaker from the stand and the speakers on the centre green, but seemed a second or 2 delay between them it was all of a mumble, maybe a good job as I couldn't here Greg properly 😜. And yes yesterday the sound at worky was a bit loud but at least you could here it

A lot of people have moaned, but I believe the speakers will fall under the football club’s list, and they haven’t got a pot to p*** in. Popular Post George Dodds
Been asked to post this by Greg Blair Hello everyone, Greg Blair here I’ve not got an account on this forum as I don’t usually come on this page but it’s been brought to my attention I’ve been getting some heat on it, just want to clear this up. I didn’t go up to the box to show the ref any footage, I’m often up in the box changing batteries or getting coffee and sometimes just making sure everything is running well, Steve the announcer is a good friend of mine and I went up when I heard the ref was away to view the footage in the commentary box just to ask him what was going on so I could relay any info I had. All in all I had no influence on what the ref did, I’ve seen decisions reversed before so it wasn’t anything new! Of course I’m going to get comments about my performances at Berwick or on BSN and it even made me laugh that this person said I wasn’t a very good rider. Hey I had a go and I loved racing bikes (not being very good at it) I love what I do in speedway, I’m happy to entertain and get a laugh but honestly if you want to have a go I welcome you to try it. Things happen in the moment, I’m passionate about my sport and Berwick speedway which I hold very close to my heart, I won’t say sorry for my passion! The only time I’ll ever say sorry is if I offend someone and in this case I haven’t so I’m blowing everyone who dislikes me kisses and the ones who do support me you’re getting bigger kisses! Enjoy your speedway folks x PS if you want to come and chat to me in person you can usually find me in the black and gold ... that's if you’re comfortable having a dig at me without hiding behind the username Edited April 27 by George Dodds

"Comfortable having a dig at me without hiding behind a username" is somewhat threatening. Big man Greg never fails to surprise me. Also, he most certainly did affect the decision with him shouting over the mic that its the worst decision hes ever seen in speedway, riling the fans up.
Woke23
Also just seen the Workington promotion have put a complaint in to SCB. Correct thing to do to hopefully stop it happening again.

You seem to have some beef with Greg, have some grace, I find him entertaining, especially on bsn, however at Berwick , I cannot comment as couldn't hear a thing on the back straight when there with Glasgow. Bagpuss
This is a familiar BSF tale of somebody stating something as fact, lots of others jumping on the bandwagon and a fifteenth story revealing itself later on.

Beef would suggest I have had an issue with him for a while. I havent. I have had an issue with how he acted on Saturday. Crash happened, ref made a decision, Greg cries over mic saying its worst decision he's ever seen. He runs up to ref box, stays in there for a while (just asking what's happening though), and then returns to centre green stating "yous wont be happy folks, looks like the ref is sticking with his decision". A minute later, decision is changed. Awfully Unprofessional and needs to hide his bias when doing what hes doing. Also, no consideration for the injured riders when, straight after the incident, he asks the referee what's the scores. Prat. Triple.H.
Everyone moans Speedway ain't like it was in the glory years, a few presenters try and fire up the atmosphere and get slagged off for it. TBH I'd be disappointed if the presenter wasn't biased towards the home team. I remember going to the 4TT at Peterborough and Roy Clark was presenting, I thought he did a great job winding uo supporters of just about every team, a week later all I read was moaning. If you find that somewhat threatening you must feel threatened an awful lot. He didn’t say it was the worst decision he has seen in speedway he said it was the worst decision since his first marriage. Which was obviously a bit tongue in cheek playing to the crowd. he did obviously over step the mark a bit and heading up to the referees box at the time he did was a bad look but I will add he was only in the referees box for a few seconds the rest of the time he was in the media box. I enjoy Greg’s commentary on centre green. The incident has been reported to the SCB so it’s upto them now. We all have bad days at work.
Toady
Agree fair play to Greg Blair for presenting his perspective on the events discussed. I’ve always found his presentations entertaining and while some may find his style controversial, I believe he’s on the right track. Speedway needs people like Greg and, as someone mentioned, Porky at Wolverhampton. I know they’re not for everyone but their lack of presence would make the sport much duller.
