Is Michele a boys name in Italy then

It's a boys name in many places but mostly Italy (their version of Michael).  I remember the Ferrari F1 driver Michele Alboreto.  Other cross gender names include Vivian, Shirley, Marion and Sydney.

It's a strange one how Leon Flint can elect to do an SEC qualifier missing his Glasgow Cup match at Plymouth and receive no ban but "injured" riders cop a ban 🤔🤷‍♂️

Lynn are poor kvech shouldn't be this bad and tbh fricke has started poor aswell

Fricke did not set the place alight when he first arrived at Leicester, but he is a class act and will soon come good. He topped the league averages in the UK comfortably last season, enough said.

Absokutely. He came good in heat 15 tonight, he'll be absolutely fine given time. Lynn isn't an easy place to set your bike up for, we've seen that many times in the past.

Jan is really struggling with engines set ups and now confidence, hopefully he can get that sorted soon.

Bomber was absolutely vintage and his ride in heat 15 was a thing of beauty.

But the main story is the reserves, they came of age this evening. So much speed and potential and tonight points too. And there is so much more to come.

A very satisfying night for Lynn fans.

Just came here to mention the “told you so” moment about cooper, he will perform this season and he can roll with the big boys now and then. People who wrote him off might wake up now. He is better than Cairns IMO.

Said this half way through last season. He is better than Cairns and the hype is more than justified. Those who felt it was unfair to drop him in the deep end of Premiership racing as it was detrimental to his development need not fear. He’s going to make a mockery of those thoughts.

He is the absolute real deal.

You need to get trackside again just to see the effort those two young lads put in.It is a pleasure to watch. It's been too many years now👍

Too right.Im glad you said two young lads, all the attention seems to be on Cooper, but Jody Scott is just quietly going about his job and was equally as impressive last night.

That was just one fanbase to be fair…

Quite agree, I see these lads as a pairing and they have been equally impressive so far, very different styles but both so quick for their age and experience. Jody's ride in heat 4 was so mature and Cooper took responsibility in heat 14 to ensure at least a draw. As exciting as Fricke & Harris are another top end these two youngsters are the highlight so far for me and they have improved so much already in just a month.

Ah apparently it’s Michael spelt incorrectly

It is a masculine Italian name, in the same way that Mikhail is an Eastern European version, or Miguel is South American.

Castagna's name is Michele Paco Castagna - and he prefers to be known as Paco.

PS: Believe it or not, a lot of our (English) name spellings are derived from original Latin or Hebrew.

Much better off the start than the Ipswich meetings when he failed to beat an opponent. He was better against Northampton and great last night. I like his analysis of what needs to be done and the fact he implements it. I use to love his races over four laps with some spectacular last bend lunges. I’ll miss those but the positive is a Brit piling up the points from the start, a real modern day speedway rider.

The SEC is an FIM event, so Flint would be nominated/approved by the SCB, and the Regulations allow a facility.

Castagna clearly needs/wants to ride in the Italian Championship rounds (sponsorship, Nations pride, etc.), and he clearly wasn't injured enough to prevent him scoring 14 points and finish second overall.
