We've been here before with Sunday afternoon racing, its not like we are struggling for blank Fridays, there are plenty of them coming up with a 4 week break from mid May. We were beaten by the better team today that just happened to be them. I thought it would be Plymouth this Friday, being back for their second visit. Maybe it will!

Your forgetting about rider commitments Harris has long tracks Hausl and Pedersen possibly Flint will probably be somewhere.

We only failed to qualify for the Semi's by the fact Berwick have a 2 point better match point aggregate.  If not for the dodgy Cookie exclusion reversal by the referee we would be in Semi's not too mention the missing Dan Thompson last night on stand by in Poland or whatever. Workington and Berwick are in different groups so haven't met in the BSN trophy.

They met in the KOC and Workington would have still been eliminated even if Craig wasn't excluded.

We will just forget the fact Berwick number 1 was wiped out in heat 1 meaning they also raced at Edinburgh without a number 1.

I do agree with you, but Workington fans were saying Perry was the answer to their reserve problems. He had 4 rides yesterday at Workington and had four lasts!. He's been let go by both Poole and Glasgow. It just shows the standard at the lower end of some of the teams.

As for Hagon. I'm sure Glasgow signed him on the back of his two u21 Championship wins. (which made sense) Riding down at reserve after being No2 at Berwick last year, also looked like a good move by Glasgow.  Besides last night's meeting at Berwick for Berwick!, his actual best score for the Tigers has been 5+1!!

Back in the day, Howarth would have been a marked man. Someone would have put him through, and rightly so. Someone like Martin Goodwin was a hard rider, but fair and like other hard riders back then, could give it, but also take it. Howarth must think he's a bit of a hardman. After watching his performance with Pickering, I would suggest otherwise 😂

He was pushing for second place and lost control when a 4-2 would have won the meeting and tie. Should have just sat in third. 
 

Have to say I loved the tactics in ht13 not pushing for the 5-1 that would have triggered a Glasgow tac sub. Very smart

Basically, he was on for a safe third when he seemed to get a tad close to the rider in front of him. It unsettled him, and down he went.

100% agree, but his third place would have put the meeting out of Glasgow's reach. An experienced rider would have known that and settled for third. His fall kept the Tigers in the match, but as you say, you can't knock a rider for having a go.

The bikes are just so fast you just can't do the block passes & riders seem less inclined to put the front wheel where a leg is like the days of old.

So going by your logic Howarth thinks he is a hard man but Pickering is not.

You did watch the aftermath right so your logic doesn’t stack up.

I agree with your general point that we’re not doing well, but we were top heavy last season, not this season.
