TigerIain
It wasn't as entertaining as usual today. Track was too dry and too dusty, but there was no sign of a water tanker coming out. Given that the Tigers couldn't gate properly at all today, not giving them a decent track to race on means Tigers have only themselves to blame. Poor performance all round from the team today. On that performance Tigers deserved to get put out.
davie10
glasgow took a gamble on two newcomers witch was one to many , same with the reserves season has just started and we are out of two competitions already and to lose at home to a mediocre edinburgh side shows that, can they turn it around with the current side im not so sure

Dan T showing Glasgow management why he should have been the 8+ pointer retained. Hausl is terrible. I do wonder if he was picked based on that one good meeting/u21 SON. He wouldn't have been in the points let alone win in H10 if it hadn't have been for Bomber nursing him through - slowing and fending off Castagna. Hagon's inconsistently is beyond frustrating. This is the same lad that scored 10+1 against the same team last night! Honestly, I've never understood Hodder's retention. If it was from last year's reserves, Perry would have had my vote. Perry never gave up, sometimes to his detriment with more tumbles, but certainly more fire than Hodder. Bomber doesn't seem to have got going yet. Howarth seems to resort to driving dirty & Pederson only seems to look good coz the others are so shocking! Will we see changes in the coming week? Or will heads be in the same - leave it too late - and make changes when the leagues already far too gone?! Apart from that, did you enjoy the racing?…….lol

Hausl looks like a number 6 or 7 in this league and Cammy will come out with his usual "Engine failures did it for us" line even though there was only one (Chris Harris in the final heat) which wouldn't have made much difference anyway seeing as Leon ended up outfoxed by both Dan and Kye. All the Tigers performed as if the result was a foregone conclusion. [Edit] Two engine failures, i'd forgotten about Leon's in heat 12. SteelShoe
Well done the Monarchs, I thought the Tigers would have had just enough to get over the line today. Sounds like you Tigers were a bit like the Comets yesterday, we only scored 2 points from 6 and 7, the same riders also had 3 of the R/R rides for our injured No2. We only failed to qualify for the Semi's by the fact Berwick have a 2 point better match point aggregate. If not for the dodgy Cookie exclusion reversal by the referee we would be in Semi's not too mention the missing Dan Thompson last night on stand by in Poland or whatever. I'm not bitter though 😃. Its a bit depressing to be out of the KO Cup and BSN already such is the paucity of meetings.

You have a good team which will probably make the playoffs so you shouldn't get too depressed
MD
We had 6 heat winners all afternoon and none in the last 4 heats. With the reserves cancelling each other out, our very soft middle left us toiling. We've been here before with Sunday afternoon racing, its not like we are struggling for blank Fridays, there are plenty of them coming up with a 4 week break from mid May. We were beaten by the better team today that just happened to be them. I thought it would be Plymouth this Friday, being back for their second visit. Maybe it will! It’s absolutely not an excuse, but Pedersen had mechanical gremlins in heat three too; almost pulled up, but got going again. Third home meeting on the trot he’s fired a blank in a heat due to engine problems. Ridiculous. Edinburgh deserved the win though. It doesn’t take anything away from that, but these frequent engine troubles are a joke.

I haven't seen any close footage of that incident, it was dark looking from the south end of the grandstand. Unfortunately these incidents happen at times when you have young inexperienced racers who lack no fear. I felt for both riders but more so Reid whose injuries appear much worse. He was showing such great early promise which i'm not surprised at having watched the Aussie Championship Series on BSN. I hope he will be back for you guys sooner rather than later especially as he did not require surgery , and that shows no ill effects physically or to his confidence.

It wasn’t an engine problem in Heat 3 he got elbowed by Sedgmen on his handlebars
YeOldPitGate
I think Redcar could be dark horses this year the two youngsters going great guns if they get a fully fit Wright back and could find someone abroad on a false average to replace Jenkins they would take some stopping good to see 4-5 possible teams in the reckoning this year. He did it to Zach Cook in the play-off final at Ashfield last season, but equally, Reid Battye did it to him in heat four at Shielfield a couple of weeks ago. Frede Schott didn’t mind a bit of either. He's lucky that Zach is a laid back character and got his revenge by taking the league title 😁👍 Also bet Dickson is really impressed by him doing that to his Leicester team mate. 🙄 I hope for Gilkes sake he isn't in a race with him tomorrow. Anyway still shocked Glasgow are out. Shame as was hoping for Poole/Glasgow SF. Also we all know Glasgow don't really gate so suprised to hear it was like that today. What happened to 12 passes per heat?! 😉🤷♀️ If Hagon gets dropped will assume Berwick will sign him until Reid is back?

Not really Redcar's style is it? They tend to back their British riders. That is more of a Poole or Glasgow thing.
