Gilkes seemed to be pootling round, then was on the infield, and then the red lights came on! What did I miss? He fell, quickly picked his bike up and got to the infield wth the leaders more than half a lap away. Then the ref put the red lights on! Absolutely no need to do so. As it turned out it was the only bit of luck that went the Lions way. Congrats Foxes on your first win. Well deserved .

Next two meetings to prove he’s capable otherwise & subject to JT or similar being available, he’s gone. Could they re-sign JT? There was a rule a season or so ago but not being able to re-sign riders you already dropped? Or is it different for RS?

Joe was only signed as a 28 day injury replacement, If they had signed him as a replacement then dropped him he cannot be introduced. I tend to agree Dan Gilkes seems to have lost some of his confidence on the bike and am sure the falls tonight will not have helped. I don’t think he can but Gilkes could probably do with some NL meetings to get his confidence back Northampton at present is a difficult track to ride and is very inconsistent as Nick Morris and Ryan Douglas found with holes and bumps appearing
Colinspeedway
Good to see a home win to keep the home fans happy. Nki still got it! Klindt doesn't seem interested with the track. Batchelor is Batchelor- doing about as expected.

A non rider simply cannot simulate a racing situation. Not sure if agree with that because 1) what of no ex-riders want to become referees & 2) when I see an ex-rider on commentary they often excuse falls & blame the track, rather than the opponent, I feel this could lead to multiple all four re-runs because they side with both riders? I'm not the answer to poor refereeing, even with video footage, you often see bizarre decisions made. Edited just now by szkocjasid
