King was really making the bike work hard tonight and found his inner Doyley with some hard moves, brilliant from him!

Spoke to Danny afterwards and he said he didn’t feel confident in the track and wasn’t making gates so they went with Lawson although Danny was asked first

We often get why wasn't X picked for heat 15 - there is always a reason and sometimes just good to know it! Also Scott had a great first / second bend in his 2nd heat to take a deserved and also needed victory as Thomson was shaping up so well. Also finally 20 years after this kind of thing was first done - nice to be the BSPA site carry live updates!

I usually slide my finger over the phone keyboard rather than tap on each letter so sometimes it brings up something erroneous. If you put that word into Google, see what it comes up with. 😁

Yes and as someone who used to contribute to that (albeit years ago) i was always surprised that the governing body of the sport never seeemed interested or able to do something themselves. The Extraliga league has a great app!

InTheDeepStuff
Did Klindt fall and get injured last night as he’s down as injured for Redcar tonight (King in as his replacement)?

Don't recall him falling - he completed heat 15 finishing 3rd in a 3-3! It was a fairly competitive heat too! From memory the only faller was Thomson and he cleared the track quickly which got praise from the ref as he could have stayed down!

With some meetings also including a commentary it might just catch on. The fans have been doing this on Live Updates for over 20 years!! And it was started by Ipswich’s very own Crazy Sue. At one time she received a call from the Proboards CEO to say that Live updates was their busiest forum! Also, I know that in the bad old days of the BSPA’s premium rate dial-up results service, the guy who recorded it would use Live Updates because it had more details, and was often quicker than waiting for someone to call from a track. The obvious bonus with Live Updates is that you can chat during the meeting.

Live updates forum was actually started in around 2002 by Sheffield fan Krissie,as people had tried posting updates on the then BSF and it was eating Sheffield fan Phil's bandwidth lol .So Krissie set up the separate forum.I did Sheffield home meetings for 2 and bit seasons when meetings ran alot faster so I just concentrated on getting the score right, not like Squall's in depth commentary we get nowadays! The for some reason it fell apart abit and Crazy Sue rebuilt it back up and kept it going to the present day to her credit. Around then there was an "official" online updates page on the web,but you had to know the right person or persons to access it.
