Berwick v Poole 27/06/26 KO Cup Semi- Final 2nd Leg 7-00pm

Recommended Posts

Financially Plymouth v Berwick is not what the Plymouth promotion wanted. Only a handful of away fans at each meeting while Poole would have bought down a lot of fans and vice versa.

But there is clear lethargy in the Pirates camp. Clear for fans to see. Worst effort I have seen in many seasons. In fact since Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder went on the piss the night before we rode at Ipswich in the 2019 playoff semi final second leg.

The rocket man let Poole down  badly know reason why he couldn't of been in the home meeting obviously not injured but had something which was more important to him than riding for Poole going on.

Presumably with Denmark taking priority on Wednesday over a Pirates fixture which had been added to the calendar Lawson couldn't have been at Poole anyway.

Although of course that's the risk he took when signing for a Danish club.

Signing for a UK club that runs on Wednesdays and signing for a club in Denmark is clearly a massive conflict in fixtures, but when you can just run with a facility... who cares 🤷‍♂️

Are you saying you know the reason? Or there is NO reason for him missing the home meeting?

Looking at the heat 10 incident unless Cooper has eyes in the back of his head he can't possibly have known Etheridge was there, looks like Rushen moved out as Kerr went to the kerb just as Etheridge was attempting the outside run. Just one of those unfortunately. Certainly not a 'disgrace' and Cooper incredibly unfortunate to be chucked out. Etheridge made himself look a proper plank afterwards.

You gave me a good laugh on that one, think we just need to look at the respective trophy cabinets on that one. Congratulations to Berwick who wanted it more and outrode the Poole lads. No excuses just bad night at the races for us.

Exactly, first time Poole haven’t made a final basically since they dropped down and it’s lose your mind time and change half team in Dorset…….

On the other side what an effort from the Bandits, all 6 of them tonight were immense.

A first final since the Young Shield if memory serves me right, it’s been a long time coming and I’m sure the Bandits fans will be out in force both home and away, let’s face it we’ve had plenty years to save up for the trip to Plymouth.

Poole promotion have only themselves to blame for the aggregate loss.

  • Signing a rider who then commits to another Wednesday night club. It's laughable. Then he doesn't ride for the danish club ???  Should a facility have been given to Poole - he was withholding his services ??
  • Bit silly on Wednesday prepping a slick dustbowl with Harris as a guest. Unsurprisingly he didn't score heavily.
  • Dumping Dan Gilkes unceremoniously with indecent haste in favour of the rejected Kyle Newman .... little sympathy for the promotion on that one.
  • Billy Cairns off in a circus qualifier 😞 Gust failed to deliver even on a Poole's pay.
  • Copper Rushen ... that's 2 referees in 4 days he has got on the wrong side of. one at home one away.   I cannot comment. My only video footage shows the lad's recent altercation with Luke Harrison. Coooper "boring" down the backstraight and he should have been excluded then.

What sort of injury allows a rider to ride on a Monday and Thursday, but not the Wednesday in between? Presumably it wasn't that serious as he was well involved at Belle Vue, and clearly it wasn't a non-speedway injury otherwise he'd have been banned (right?).

You really are a complete nob! Insead of accepting and praising Berwick on their 16 point aggregate win, you choose to belittle the final because your Money club who are afraid of the top league haven’t qualified!! Poole fans really are a ‘special’ breed!!!

You can see what a strange fanbase have on social media … calling for Etheridge to be banned for the season lol…. Even Rushen laughed it off as a slap on the shoulder … Poole fans think Jye is Tyson Fury… as the poster above said they are a strange breed

My suspicion would be that he didn’t fancy the jaunt over to Denmark, maybe a plastering job overran.

Think it is more of the age maybe? Not sure you can go around trying to punch 16 yr olds.

Although trying to punch someone as they ride past is pretty dumb in the first place.
