Glasgow Tigers v Oxford Cheetahs 3rd July

Recommended Posts

Tigers back racing at home after a good few weeks and weather is looking decent .

Tigers - Kyle Howarth, Vinnie Foord (G), Chris Harris, Kevin Juhl Pedersen, Leon Flint, Sam Hagon, Freddy Hodder.

Cheetahs - Sam Masters, Max Perry (G), Edward Kennett, Anders Rowe, Luke Killeen, Darryl Ritchings, Dayle Wood.

I'm heading to Ashfield to see this tonight, so looking forward to some good racing.

Will Kennett travel this far north ?? Forecast not good looks like rain after 18.00 fingers crossed the forecast is wrong as it's about 8 weeks in the middle of summer that Glasgow have not had a home meeting

I'm not sure about both guest choices.

Is Foord better than Pedersen, Hagon & Hodder taking r/r rides?

Is Perry better than Kennett, Wood & Ritchings taking r/r rides?

Vinnie has been going great this season. He's also got good experience of the specialist Ashfield track having competed in a few u21 events in Glasgow. Pedersen, Hagon and Hodder have been up and down all season and can't always be trusted. Perry knows the track well too and Wood never does well at Ashfield and as for Kennett, who knows what he will be like on the day. I don't think Oxford stand a chance tonight anyway.

Watching Polish match just now McDairmid given 2 rides in Ht 14-15 against opposition heat leaders  after Zelina Gora have match won.1/2 lap behind in both but I suppose the money should  be good.

In fairness he got the same a week or so ago at Lublin and was leading heat 15 for 3 and a bit laps before the pressure got to him.
