Track held up well and some good racing until the heavens opened.

Masters apart Oxford were woeful, for Glasgow  everyone chipped in apart from Hodder who had a mare , special mention for Sam Hagon who was undefeated by an opponent he was riding the outside line very well.

A far too regular occurence at Ashfield. Apart from Oxford away little has been gained from Freddy this season. He has the ability but does he have the drive to improve?

Track was like a typical Glasgow lady, very wet and a little rough.

Track was there to be attacked. A half hour delay and the meeting would of been complete

Maybe one league would solve this. Consistency for all clubs and hopefully supporters alike.

And you're getting the riders that are actually competitive from where to fill all the teams?

Jason Doyle Vs Simon Lambert doesn't sound entertaining

If the riders were available to fill up teams, it would not work, some teams are on limited budget and over 10 meetings in championship offset losses with sponsorship, but in one big league the costs go up, more meetings to lose more money which sponsorship won't cover, and can fans afford twice as many meetings as now

Only if they were programmed to ride against each other... there is more than 1 way to run a Speedway meeting 🤔

No! No! No!...

15 Heats, Seven rider teams!!

It's the only way!!!

I remember several years ago they devised a formula which meant the best riders rode against each other more often in a meeting..

Some of the best racing I have witnessed in many, many years..

And then they stopped doing it..

????????

I remember and liked that format, did it last for more than a season? It was probably stopped as I surmise that the riders didn't like it as there weren't so many easy point pickings going... and we all know the sport is run for the riders.

That was my summation too...

Poland run a sport with four juniors riding against the Worlds best but also have two nominated races which, usually, puts the top four from each team up against each other again...

Maybe their heat structure could be used over here?..

Puts pressure on where it should be too during the meeting, ie on the HL's when they race with a junior against two from the opposition's top five..

Either defending your teams score with a win, or losing points due to losing the heat...

Really liked the 18 formula used in 93(?). Two reserve races helped bringing them on.

Would probably be too expensive to run now, and we wouldn’t have enough riders.

we really need to get the training track used to develop young local talent. On a related note, the training track looked immaculate last night.

Will Kennett travel this far north ?? Forecast not good looks like rain after 18.00 fingers crossed the forecast is wrong as it's about 8 weeks in the middle of summer that Glasgow have not had a home meeting

Summer only started two weeks ago (well, two weeks tomorrow to be precise).

The gaps between fixtures across both leagues is an absolute disgrace during summer months.

Agreed very odd way to run a business and try and build up a fan base.
