It would depend who the prospective promoters of Eastie would be but they'd have to come up with the money and put the money up.front. He also says he thinks it would lose money but we all know that anyway

 

 

He would want rent money up front, then there is the cost of the fence/start gate but as opening a speedway track goes it must be one of the easiest to do or am I missing something. 15 to 20 year lease to.

What has speedway got to loose?

The nearest we got to that was Barry Bishop at Isle of Wight under NORA but even if he had stayed I think he would not have been able to get enough tracks to go along with the way he ran meetings. The other problem he had is that the IOW can only really run in the holiday season with between six and eight meetings being the most that can be profitable.

Rent upfront for a season is likely to be not insignificant plus infrastructure costs as you've mentioned plus the knowledge that your pretty certain to lose money once the turnstiles open... they won't be queueing up to take this on I suspect

These independent people don't exist and if they did they'd want paying and that's where the idea would hit the blocks
