To be fair to him, the No1 position at Ipswich hasn't been a big points contributor all season...

And Lawson isn't really a No1 in the top tier, similar to how Tom Brennan also isn't...

Juggling a full time job and starting your "other job" at various places around the country, at 730pm, must be a challenge from time to time...

Plus as we know 99% of riders are bullet proof these days due to the complete lack of available replacements.

Want to see some ambition with riders like Pollstad and Nagel or riders like that,, trouble is with Poland ruling the roost they will need a big pay check to make Britain one of the other leagues

Wouldn't it be great to see some/all of them young under 24 danes who pushed Poland all the way last weekend in the under 24 world team cup , race in the UK. Sadly as we all know more chance of Harry revealing he has a seven figure league sponsor lined up for 2027.

I haven't a clue why there was such a big crowd.Couldn't believe it when we were using the overflow car park at 6.55pm.I was thinking maybe it was because it was the last meeting at home before the kids go back to school, but then I didn't see anymore than usual.I hope it was because of the live TV last week.If it can have that effect get it on free TV a lot more.

Pleasing to see but do we have any idea what this constitutes 2k, 3k? I saw a few heats on the Witches facebook page and there did seem to be quite a few more on under the back straight stand that in previous videos i have seen or on TV  but i wouldn't have said it was a massive crowd.

Expected a home win perhaps by one or two more points  than i reckoned - Witches got the BP which SHOULD i feel just see them to 4th spot!

Doubling Up is the perfect system for both riders and promoters...

A poor night on Monday can be covered by good nights, up to four times, later in the week, and you can always pick up plenty of Guest bookings if your team isn't riding..

No major prize on offer, means no major pressure to perform, as does having no major number of adequate replacements for your place should you not perform...

And promoters get to share the costs of these riders...

A nice, cosy agreement....

And one which doesn't condition, or prepare, the better young lads, in any way shape or form, for racing abroad in much higher standard leagues, and international competitions...

Any reason for a big crowd ? Nothing really to play for , Meeting against local rivals, kids go free or could it be the cooper Rushen effect, after seeing him on normal TV people want to see him live ? Any thoughts

Far from it, Lynn and Ipswich are in a three way battle for 3rd and 4th with Sheffield. Plenty to race for last night!

I suspect Poland's aim eventually for the real golden nuggets like the Young Danes, Poles and Cairns/Rushen would be for them to just ride for their Polish club and a league in their own country or Swden in the Poles case. And I suspect the once a week routine of Denmark and Sweden appeals more than the UK.

100% that is their plan...

And fair play to them given the huge outlay they make in signing on fees and points money, and rehab for their injured riders, (regardless of where the injury happened or nationality of the rider)..

With that level of money they pay then being used by riders to set up, and support through the year,, their racing in other leagues...

As is obvious...

The less racing riders do the less chance they have of injury...

That will be the thoughts of the Poles...

And it's fair enough, given riders don't have to ride over there if they don't like the terms and conditions..

No one is forcing them to ride over there...

A bit strange Max was in heat 15 given the night he had.

Didn't really matter by then, points secured and bonus gone. Hopefully he asked to go in it in order to iron out whatever issues he is having.

Maybe he asked to go in it so he could lower his average a bit in order to guest in the play offs!! I bet you see a totally different Max on Saturday.

You could be right but I'm not so sure, he hasn't been right on any stage this year whether that be GP's, Extraliga or over here. Just doesnt seem to have the speed or be able to get out of the start on a regular basis. Don't necessarily see that changing in Saturday.

My main concern is that somebody else takes advantage of his lower average in 2027.

I agree but he take son the job with eyes open and should know what commitment is required

2,500 plus imo. That's a big crowd for Lynn by far this season.Keep getting crowds like that and we will have Zmarzlik and Lambert at 1 & 5 next season🤣

Difficult to argue with that isn't it Bagpuss for the real young gems, compete against the worlds best every week, better money/sponsors on offer and not as draining on the body due to not flying/driving in and out of different countries every week.

If you went last night what would you estimate the crowd at, I'm beginning to think we have reached the point where anything just tipping into four figures is classed as bumper crowd these days sadly.

Great to hear and for a Monday as well probably the least attractive night of the week to run on, long may it continue.

Understandable view, however, who, of his level, would have replaced him at Poole and Ipswich if he hadn't took the places?...

Hardly a queue at the door to ride over here is there?..

So much so, clubs sign riders knowing 100% that they will miss meetings..

(Usually away meetings, and quite often, at tracks their missing rider(s) don't always do too well)...;)

As I said great, i presume a fair few Witches fans as well?

I like the idea of Buster promoting a team with World Champion in!

He's to budget aware for that, it would just be nice if he could find someone who is a proper safe pair of hands to take the team on moving forward but as we all know given the shakey outlook for the sport and the need to write off 50-100k per annum those with the deep pockets and love of the sport to commit to that regular annual loss are in very short supply.

Absolutely agree there is a recking coming in all manner of sports over funding annual losses!

Interesting (for some) to note that Lawson retains the Number 1 race jacket for Ippo in the September averages

If only the other six had "let them down" the same?...

They would have been miles away at the top of the league!!!!!:D
