This is what I was thinking but add in Bowtell and then a 2.0 reserve I think aim should be to win as many matches at home and pick up away where they can.

shame can’t quite fit trigger in with bowtell

Think Bowtell isn’t a bad option tbf,his away form would be a worry, but as you say that team would be super strong at home with Bowtell in.

Yeah really poor finished on a 8.15 average, happy for him to have  a another poor season.

His average was actually 8.59 - based on just his 2026 meetings. So yes, terrible. 10th highest in the league and down just 0.01 on his 2025 average.

Thomson won’t be eligible for the reduction for missing a season as he’s not British

Riders used to get a one-off 8% reduction if missing a season through injury, can't remember if that was just for Brits though?

This was long before the recent "Nathan Ablitt" rule, which Alfie Bowtell should benefit from.

Hope plymouth are able to ride again next season. how are they doing with the air fence and how many panels do they need.

Having collected nearly £30k by the direct appeal, they have moved the collection process to Crowdfunder, as this will allow the spoken-off requests for local funding to be processed (although by no means guaranteed

There is a "Donate" button on club website for this to carry on.

Featured on BBC Spotlight yesterday evening, said £14k is still needed in the next month.

I’d of thought with them being that close they could find ways to get what’s needed and even take out a small loan? In the grand scheme of things it sounds silly to miss a year over an amount they could likely raise during the months before tapes up through sponsors, events and hopefully a grant or loan from the higher ups?

Lets hope they’re at the tapes and get some good news soon

Duty-free loans for items such as foam- or air-fences are available from within the speedway community.  It it to Plymouth's credit that they want to raise the funding themselves themselves without going into debt, but if the alternative was to close down ..........

Book Local Tours

Having raised nearly 30k within a couple of months. Surely an interest free loan for the rest could be repaid easily with a whole year or even more to raise funds. After visiting Plymouth for the KOC final I’m absolutely sure the club and their awesome fans will find the funds required given time.
