It’s a shame that BV management seem to have tried to airbrush Dan out of anything to do with the Aces. He’s been a great rider for them, and, although he was unlucky this year with injury, his high average allowed them to bring Doyle in. They’d probably still have won the league with Dan but his absence was well covered. The rumours are that he’s heading south for his PL contract in 2027 and BV should be thanking him for his years of service and not just pretending he doesn’t exist. IMO I’m not being naughty, I just find the whole situation between Dan and belle vue a bit estranged, he reluctantly joined them on the podium for the celebration, he kept referring to them as they and not we when interviewed about belle vue, he didn’t do the press conference after the meeting and didn’t go to the presentation night,it all just feels a bit off, maybe nothing but I’m not the only one who has noticed

IMO They made a shocking job of airbrushing him out of the team photo two weeks ago. Bloody Aces management, they can’t do out. Anyway can’t talk at the moment as I’ve got to get back to grinding this axe.

And they doubled down on having him on the podium, (thus treating him like he had been an integral part of a team that had just won the title)... By inviting him to the end of season dinner to celebrate the fact!!! Something must be wrong there... 😁

Kryten
I’m surprised that if Dan is Ipswich bound nobody has considered Max Fricke could be on his way back to BV

Eh? You said we didn’t have riders once the season is over and they are just self employed free agents or is this yet another viewpoint you are now flip flopping on as you usually do whilst trolling the site? Staggering. Attracting riders who have ridden for Belle Vue the previous season is very easy for most clubs as they just need to wave their chequebook. They will beat us every time if money is the deciding factor. If the witches have both Dan & Will this coming season will your club be know as the Ipswich C**ts? Colts - not what you all thinking.

No that is what you are thinking, he may apply that term to Belle Vue or you!!
Aries
If Coleman’s comment wasn’t an inaccurate slip of the tongue and the points limit is 40 points, there’s no way I can see Belle Vue just going with Brady Kurtz and then packing in behind him. They know all too well the secret to success is not just a top number 1, but a powerful top 2. Why not Fricke if he’s still available? Need to see how the Lambert licence situation plays out too. They have to be cooking something..
TTT
Not going to wind up any Belle Vue fans over Bewley and Cairns as it's not nice seeing your best riders depart. I do hope that Belle Vue can find some decent replacements though because various Clubs having strong 1-7's is good for the League and it also leads to competitive racing and that's what we need in a League that doesn't feature many Teams. Bagpuss
If its a 40 limit and the 'big four' are able to go with two big guns each you do worry about the competitiveness of Lynn, Northampton and a potential new club and their ability to get a decent number one to ride over here. Not a whinge, more an observation. Feels a bit like it's Lambert or bust for my team for example. We shall see.

With the current League set-up we need as many competitive Teams as possible because we've got no choice but to run the same fixtures on several occasions. Unpredictability and Competitive 1-7's is best for British Speedway.
InTheDeepStuff
So if the jungle drums are right and Doyle and Bewley both end up as Ipswich’s number 1 and 5, who is going to come in at Belle Vue as number 5 to be backing up Brady Kurtz? What about Josh Pickering moving over the hill from Sheffield? Would fit Mark Lemon’s MO as an Aussie rider and could see him easily coming to grips with NSS as a home track

As it stands the league will be watered down given some of the more capable ex RS's will not get places in the top tier and some NDL level lads will be coming in... They desperately need some decent U21 riders from overseas as twelve GB U21's will mean a huge disparity in capability each meeting, from No1's to No 6's and 7's...
