What is the point of number 8 if you aren't prepared to use him to replace your number 7. Isn't that the whole point of the scheme?

The attraction of Sweden is more money (if you get paid) but more importantly much reduced costs. You do Sweden using your Polish equipment and staff. Fewer meetings means it can be done on one day with a shorter season. At the moment Air travel is cheaper than van travel, so Sweden is becoming more expensive to do, but still cheaper than a UK set up. I understand people being cheesed off, but they are aiming their frustration at the wrong people. We moan like hell about guests and RR over here. The Poles are trying to avoid the same, by minimising risks of riders getting injured elsewhere, not eliminating, but minimising. They are saying you should only need one other job (in their eyes, your home or base nation) if you ride here. Their ruling stops no rider from riding the UK. EVERY single rider in Poland COULD ride the UK if they wanted to. Dan Bewley wasn't stopped riding in the UK by the PZM, he was stopped because he chose to ride in Sweden instead. I get it, people want someone to blame, but they need to look closer to home

Because you would lose even more riders and create an even bigger problem with rider shortages. You would lose I expect Fricke, Zagar, Holder, Musielak, Doyle, Riss, Masters, Pickering, Kurtz, Ellis, Morris, Becker, Bloedorn etc. That’s a lot of riders to replace all of a sudden plus the cut off to bring in new or returning riders too.

I agree, it's not a great way for Kings Lynn to do things, and however good it feels for Jake now, venting your opinion on social media, it only alienates those potential future employers, looks unprofessional, and drags you down to their level. Riders get treated like this all the time. Doesn't make it right, and I don't condone it, but venting publicly never improves the situation.

I agree with you regarding what a number 8 should be used for but if what he has said himself on Facebook is true and he’s gone too the effort of sorting everything out at his own cost too turn out for Lynn and he’s found out through social media he isn’t riding then that’s terrible, can’t and shouldn’t be treating a young rider like that

Shocking that this is now mid-week and if I'm not mistaken won't those north of the border be out of school holidays by then? To be fair the fact that it's not a neutral track or in the midlands to allow supporters a chance to get to this is a joke, but then what's new with this sport...

I think he was at reserve all year and didn't pull up any trees

I agree re the gardening and other things that go on... The UK just needs to do what the Poles do.. Two minutes is on, and you had better be ready to start in two minutes.. Noticable too over there that when using RR or putting in a TAC sub which means "two on the run" for a rider, there is seldom extra time added like you hear from the track announcers over here... The two mins is on, and you had better be ready to start in two minutes... This means they run meetings in "sections", so have several natural breaks for relaying the track and plenty of time to go to the toilets, bars etc... The start marshall is also linked to the ref too so the riders all start in line and not going off at all angles, and no one can pull back from the tapes when the start marshall moves away like happens over here.. Simple, structured, and organised..

Right up north?! Manchester isn’t right up north… Newcastle northwards is right up north! you say holding it at a neutral venue wouldn’t attract many locals… there was never a problem with crowds when Peterborough have held 4TT’s at their track… Poole will have mainly locals filling up their stadium but it’s still a poor choice when you consider the fans from the real north… Edinburgh, Berwick, Glasgow, Redcar etc… teams that have fans that normally come out in good amounts for the tournaments!

I think both Leagues would collapse if Bomber got injured.

You're lucky it's in the UK... next year it'll be subbed out to Poland

I think you might have that wrong. I'm pretty sure BSN had already advertised that they were including this in their annual and monthly subscriptions as well as the pairs from Oxford.

Brandon was always a tip for years. While the grandstand will probably have to go, it is not essential: everything else which is needed is still there. There are few enough plush stadiums used for speedway.

I think the switch from a Saturday date to a Wednesday is the biggest problem here.

Would take any speedway. My children are 12 + 16 this is the first speedway season (pandemic apart) they have not been to a speedway meeting. Although they are looking forward to Cardiff SGP and the British Final should tickets ever become available. As for Eastbourne let's hope they kind find some significant backing.

But to convince one to come over here for half a season ain't easy. If they don't have everything set up in the uk, they need to get 2 more bikes, engines to suit, van, mechanic, somewhere to stay etc. A complete new set up. which they can't use anywhere else during the season. Riding the the UK is a big commitment ££ for the first time for the rider. But a Dane, Czech, or German lad can easily pick up extra meetings in Europe using the same kit they have at the moment. That's the biggest issue before you even start getting into Visas etc

It’s proving a problem everywhere let’s have it right and not make out this is just an Ipswich thing. I’ve seen two meetings at Peterborough this season, and both haven’t been a patch on what the Showground has served up in previous years. Same with Lynn and Wolves. Both these tracks have produced excellent racing in the past, but these days those good meetings are few and far between according to those who attend regularly at least on here. The opening two meetings live on Eurosport were shocking at Wolves and Peterborough. The third meeting, ours against Sheffield at Foxhall, was an improvement on both although hardly a classic either by any means. Seems to be an ever increasing issue with tracks here in the UK with the exception of Belle Vue. Having said that, most of the GP’S have been shockers as well on pretty crap tracks!
