  1. Yesterday
  2. Boughen was supremely talented and fast as a speedway rider but seemed to lose his nerve a bit after a couple of crashes and injury ..after that he looked fast if he gated and got fresh air after the first bend but if the first bend was tight then he shut off a bit ….i don’t know his mindset but that is what it looked like to me ..a shame as he was talented enough to have done really well
  3. Berwick will try again to get their home Championship campaign started as they welcome Redcar Bears. The Bandits welcome Drew Kemp back as he guests for the injured Peter Kildemand, while Sam Hagon who was instrumental in helping Bandits reach the BSN Semi-Finals guests for the injured Reid Battye. Redcar depending on Jody Scott's fitness will hope to be at full strength. Can see this being a close one so go 49-41 to Berwick. Free Car Park will be busy with the Monks biker rally being held over the weekend.
  4. Erik is classed as third as he had a lower average than Rowe on the previous averages so no r/r for Sam
  5. Honestly can't see many Oxford fans travelling for the 2 meetings especially after seeing the side put out at Edinburgh 2morrow. Imo taking the fans of both sides for granted with that side, so won't be much booiing, as Poole are not riding 😜
  6. Kinda surprised Rowe is riding. He was struggling on his bike the race after the crash on Weds.
  7. And that's why it's crumbling as a sport. Riders have too much power.
  8. I'm assuming Oxford fans won't be booing or swearing at Will on saturday now he is riding for them. 🤷‍♀️🙄
  9. Tigers probably got this at reserve, Vinny scored around 7 last season and went well. Haven't managed to adequately replace the points he is capable of especially at home. Another tough competetive meeting for the Comets. Need everyone contributing in the top 5. Track should hold no fears for Max but will his equipment be fast enough, he was certainly underpowered on his home debut. Hopefully we have no mechanical failures this weekend can't afford to gift points to the Tigers if we are to keep it close. UTC ! Like Glasgow Comets only have 7 home fixtures left and season only started ☹️
  10. The Ref will never overrule the riders nowadays.Health and Safety rules these days.
  11. There would be other riders having to miss out the Champ if that was the case, no Dan Thompson, no Zach Cook etc. Guess the league would have to be a lot weaker if they stopped using riders who race in Poland.
  12. It really a joke now. They don’t even want to get the Kevlar dirty now. Why not give a couple of riders a couple of laps to test the track turn the dirt over( if there’s any).Been there too many times now,I certainly don’t leave the house now if there is cloud in the sky.
  13. Should be a decent win for the Monarchs. Does anyone know if Riss is 2nd or 3rd in Oxford's averages? Has the same ave as Rowe, but it's the difference between Masters getting a r/r ride or not!
  14. It's possible to believe Oxford have a poor lineup without there being better options. If the poster had said "why pick these riders" or "there must have been better guests available" then you'd be right to question the post!
  15. Probably on a par with last year tbh. He gets lots of criticism, but still averaging above 7.
  16. 6 broom sweepers, 5 male and one female. Each with the objective of brushing the standing water to the kerb and ultimately in to the drain. One decided to brush the opposite direction to the others and brush the standing water out all over the track. Guess which one it was?
  17. With the absences and injuries how would he make the lineup better, he has said poor Oxford lineup so say how he'd improve it.
  18. Now 10.00pm, no rain since midday, surely with a bit of effort the meeting could have gone ahead. In these difficult times do the promotors really deserve our support.
  19. Agree. We have all seen tracks far worse and meetings have gone ahead and over the years I have seen saw dust etc.. put down and watched riders get on with it. Today, the current crop of so called professionals are sadly out of their depth and lack the skills and experience to be the rounded professional speedway riders. Many riders Arne one track ponies and why would you pay to watch those who cannot entertain the punter first and foremost. Speedway as a sport and form of entertainment has lost its way.
