  1. Past hour
  2. Plenty of evidence now of teams being crippled by moving up. Having to change race night and the extra costs aren’t conducive to good business. Think the Glasgow promotion are too switched on to fall into the trap.
  3. Weather was appalling from heat 1, track held up really well, vison was a problem, around heat 14 the rain just got heavier and heavier and by heat it was too much, fair play to all riders who got on with it and at least got 18 heats in, a few of us are staying at the track tonight in the hope of riding in an amateur meeting tomorrow, it supposed to be a dry sunny day but the track at the moment is just a flooded mud bath and it’s suppose rain for the rest of the night
  4. Doubt much will change in the grand scheme things. Didn't really change much when Discovery took over the helm from BSI/IMG.
  5. Fare enough Kev, surprised you weren’t there , just thought we might have nicked a win !
  6. I do expect every rider to celebrate, but not being a knob. Every other rider cheers or acknowledges their supporters, he is just an ignorant brat. If I was Douglas I would have told him where to go, if you are “number one” then prove on multiple occasions not one race and that get on your high horse. That’s the reason majority of people don’t like him, if someone reacted to him with that gesture he would have had to make a comment in the pits to them no doubt, like when he mentioned “nice kick mate” to lambert last year. He is a sore loser and a knob, basically. In the words of his own family member… “he is an angry little man”. Majority of riders don’t like him either from what I’ve heard. My video is justified 😂 and I don’t care if it offends people or not 😂 Lastly, I was going to make it even more clickbait by naming it: Jack Holder “I am number one in, one out” 😂😂😂
  7. Without being there difficult to tell and there may have been mitigating circumstances but Scott was probably safe for a point in heat 12 and Zischke had a win , probably from the gate (?) so hoping he would repeat it but I dont dispute Pijper rode very well and on another day may well have been given one or both of those rides.
  8. Watching updates from ibiza surprised the meeting was on and got to 18 heats out of 23 seems like a couple of decent races and performances, well done to all involved. Can we sign the same for next year 🤔
  9. Taking half a meeting to adapt to track conditions isnt acceptable at the business end of the season. Did the Glasgow riders mis-judge the track walk, did they ask for it to be ultra slick, did they even know what they were getting beforehand? Whatever it was it can't happen again, we have some hefty points deficits to claw back in our next two home meetings. Its all very well bringing in Andy Meredith to boost our GP or SGP2 chances next season but if it is affecting our core product its a no for me. Lets prep the track to suit our riders wherever possible, its brings the best out in them and allows the racers to shine.
  10. Really important that the reopening meeting goes smoothly. it needs to start on time and run at a decent pace. Both teams are running R/R so many riders will need extra time. get tonight right and mildenhall will thrive however if we go back to four hour marathon I fear it will be the final nail. im looking forward to seeing some racing tonight and I wish everyone the best of luck.
  11. Do wonder if Pijper could have been given extra rides, he might have been given heat 12 ,possibly to beat Thompson? Heat 14 to replace Zischke? ( two zero’s from three rides ). Probably why I’ve never been a T.M.
  12. Today
  13. To be fair, that was your choice, I attended every year and always paid for the cheapest ticket available and never had anything other than a perfect view of the action. I'll say that after WBD took the event over, it seemed to be a lot less fun.
  14. Yes extremely childish. He had just won a fantastic race on the last lap and was full of adrenaline. Do you not expect a rider to celebrate ? Admittedly he was poor for the rest of the night, but maybe he knew that himself and he was trying to psych himself up.
  15. The Premiership is in a mess, looking for get out clause.
  16. A lot more than that for seats on the straight close to the action purchased on early deal basis. As we know the ticket pricing escalated over the past years, the firework show diminished to a fizzle, No pre meeting or half time entertainment in the stadium which all contributed to a feeling that for the ever increasing cost of tickets the overall value of what was on offer did nothing but fall.
  17. It depends who you speak to. Race night is an issue. The preference is to keep Fridays. How strong that preference is varies a little. But at the moment, the Premiership does not have enough upside to mess with a setup they seem to be happy with (crowd numbers, mainly).
  18. I know we are forecast for rain, but hopefully we can fit it in before then! 😄
  19. Main problem is I don't know much about track prep but our track seems much slicker since Meredith took over as track man . That doesn't suit us since we have lost the ability to gate . But fair play to Redcar they are a solid side throughout and we got away with it last night to a certain extent
  20. 100 % agree,we have to do what’s right for speedway in Uk.Its pretty obvious we can’t compete with Poland.
  21. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BnkDiRiYN/?mibextid=wwXIfr yes
  22. Morris on his average is likely to be able to pick where he wants to ride, can't imagine any team saying no thanks on that average.
