all prem teams have signed a prem deal for 2 years, so it will be at least 6 teams premiership next year anyway. they are looking at more stock car tracks to hopefully bring more clubs to the sport
-
What the bloody hell was Mr Morris blathering on about then? 🤷♂️😂
-
Possibly all of them given the need for doubling up to keep both leagues affording the same riders... And the optics of a new track opening make the sport look progressive, which can only help with trying to bring tracks back, or defend further potential closures ...

British final 15th August

Richard Lawson doesn’t do the British Final anymore because he doesn’t like the NSS. -
Might be worth a few quid on Northampton being Champions.... That should mean a successful season and a buyer!!

British final 15th August

But surely this fixture should have been planned, even if unofficial, so the championship could avoid the fixture. But no, looks like British speedway shoots it's self in the foot again. 3 championship fixtures planned, 1 team on a northern tour, probably to help save costs, now these fixtures will have to be rescheduled. Upsetting 6 championship teams / fans to have the British final on a Saturday. I can remember many Sunday afternoon British finals at Coventry with upto 10000 fans on the terraces, what do we get now 1500 if your lucky -

From the press release: "Premiership CEO Phil Morris said: “The people in charge of Northampton will make their own announcements in the near future but I know they have been talking to riders""

You would hope not, before the fixture list is sorted they should be saying the British final is on this date so plan around as you can't run on this date. Then promote the event, run coaches from league tracks if the interest is there, get the event out to the public. -
The Northampton promotion must be BSPL lack of information. No team announced. No nickname. No promotion announced secrecy and no engagement with the customers. Must be BSPL

No because Godfrey has got Bradfords stock car meetings. And that’s why he is opposed to two home and away in the championship. self interest from the chairman -

Thanks for the update Flagrag that would indicate they are pretty shrewd people can only hope the new promoters are reasonably well financed as trying to do this operation on a shoe string will be fraught with risk. -
I have no idea, I just got a feeling the authorities are now behind this and Flagrags post seems to back this up. 2 & 2 and all that.

Choose a Saturday when there isnt 3 Championship meetings with one in middle of northern tour, as the Friday meeting might have to be rearranged as well. Or pencil it in before the Championship meetings were agreed. Not rocket science is it? Or maybe it is for them...🙄 -
Poole's usual start time of 1930 hrs was used as the final fixtures were being confirmed. A 6pm start was stated in the online ticket website but 1930 was used by the BSPL and elsewhere which added to the confusion. The 2025 Good Friday meeting was scheduled to start at 1800 before it was rained off! So 1800 hours is confirmed.

Do you think they'll have their home meetings at Scunthorpe? -
So you can get home at a decent and have your cocoa before bedtime 😜

They are telling themselves what the requirements are....
