With English commentary? (unlikely) š¤
-
Yes thatās the rub Ā£20000 plus all the running costs and not to mention that lease that aledgely has a 5 year break clause for either party so maybe not such good news if their arenāt any talks with Pgr.
-
That's no good Mike, it has to be something we haven't heard before, not a regurgitation of a BSPL press release.
-
Itās also been reported independently elsewhere that 3 meetings have been arranged this week so as I said we will just have to wait.
-
So, fake news gets you publicity does it? OK then, here goes,... "Speedway in the UK, is an authentic team sport, brilliantly led, marketed and promoted, by a host of cutting edge, modern day thinking visionaries".... There.. That should get me in the Speedway Star next week... š

SPEEDY69 replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You're right but of course long term issues would not be negated by cessation of the sport for 7/10 days. The point I was making was about the diagnosis - this is not straightforward and many riders will have bangs on the head with after effects but may not be diagnosed with concussion. -

PGR are not in talks with Oxford. Who told you that?
-
That is good news, 6 years remaining. But will that mean, if the dogs go, the speedway set up will have to cover the whole rent? š

Poole v Scunthorpe 8/4/26 KO cup
SteelShoe replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
And there was me thinking it was news of a big investor and a new blueprint for taking British Speedway forward. -
Not quiet, PGR are in talks about possibilities at Oxford so all is not lost, and in reply to Ray their are 2 companies that stream greyhound racing they are PGR consisting of Ladbrokes, Corals, and ARC which stream from their own tracks and several others, SIS stream the remaining tracks and several Greyhound tracks over in Ireland, basically the many thousands of pounds earned from streaming these live races keeps the Stadiums open, so for any of them to lose those streaming contracts it is a huge blow to their viability, which is where Oxford are right now, and for those that do not know the lease at Oxford allegedly was/is for 10 years.

It had to be one of them! Or both if they had someone else in mind though. -
Poole v Scunthorpe 8/4/26 KO cup
Normski replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Championship League Competition meetings and BSN Series meetings going by rules count towards averages. -
Not sure you understand the structure of media rights for dogs Ray. Mildenhall will be fine as PGR will replace SIS as the funders of dig racing and pay that to ARC the new lease holders. PGR are not interested in Oxford so dogs are finished there.
-
Yes but Arc have a contract with PGR so Mildenhall will be ok .The Oxford situation is different as the lessee is heavily indebted to SIS so maybe thatās why they pulled the plug

Poole v Scunthorpe 8/4/26 KO cup
Onthafence replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scunny clearly seen that they lacked an out and out number 1 so the decided to try grab one of the best ones in the league but clearly forgot to find him back up. All well and good having a big number 1 but he canāt win the match for you if the rest canāt even score their average. ablitt clearly in deep waters being in the main body of the team. harrison is a second string at best (at home) hasnāt really done anything away from scunny and itās now his third season in this league so youād think by now he should be able to at least score his average on away tracks. mountain steady as always. MPT Iām not even sure what he is doing. Lambo struggling to score at reserve and Cleary still struggling same as last year. Ingram finding the jump up tough but all the experience will be valuable and will progress throughout the season. -
It is still a fact the live streaming company, SIS, has pulled out of both venues. What overall affect that will have on the greyhound operations at both venues, will eventually bubble to the surface.
