Do you know this as a fact as statements like this can be extremely damaging. From my point of view why would the stadium owners kick out a source of income. Surely you just let the speedway continue whilst you attempt to resolve the greyhound situation?
-
Which would be completely usual on a non event day?
-
Drove past stadium today Main Gates Chained up and padlocked
-
Is the meeting on?
-
Whether it did or did not, I think it’s all about the dogs, unfortunately. All it shows is that the often-mentioned subject of viability has reared its ugly head again.
-
Ironically, I presume Oxford pulling out of the top tier has also lost revenue for the stadium..
-
Could Northampton accommodate a champ club even temporarily while the greyhound issue is worked on?
-
That serious. So will Oxford start the campaign
- Today

Kyle has ridden his last couple of seasons riding through injuries, a year off will of helped massively.
-
Looking bleak unless a deal can be done with Premier Greyhounds

What do you suggest the 'powers that be' should have done to cater for a rider incurring significant damage and cost in his first race of the season? - signing on fee? - higher points money? - increased admission charge? -
BERWICK v EDINBURGH (Saturday, April 4th -- 7pm)
Beirao replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Are Berwick required to offer Edinburgh three dates in the next 28 days for a restaging. After next Saturday, their next three Saturdays are Glasgow (BSN) at home and Workington home and away in the KO Cup. Similarly Edinburgh and a date for the restaging at Armadale. -
Or put another way, have the chickens finally come home to roost for Mr Boothby? Either way if the speedway can’t raise the reported £20k a month then we won’t even see out this season.
-
I think their could well be some Oxford riders available as I can't see how the Stadium will stay open, I would be looking to draft in either Luke Killeen or Mitchell McDiarmid and definately Darryl Ritchings at 7, as I think the only points Tom will score is if their are only three finishers.

I feel an almighty crash coming along

TB1 replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Doesn't this just prove time and time again that the sports governing body simply have no interest in making this sport both affordable and more accessible to all competitors. If a top British rider is in financial distress from trying to earn a living the powers that be should hang your bloody heads in shame! Unfortunately it won't happen as I have stated on here before the turkeys never vote for Christmas! -
