  1. Past hour
  2. A Swindon legend, rest easy Martin
  3. That meeting was getting a bit feisty .Think Pickering had to go but certainly got a bit upset. The reserve had a bit more of case in the re-run but he went as well.
  4. Another formality! Sooner this season is over the better. Hopefully Berwick can win silverware well or Plymouth.
  5. Good news on Bednar if correct that looked horrendous.Definitely knocked out on track.Think Lidsay deliberately touch tapes as he seemed to have a wrist injury when walking off track after crash.Woul have though you could put reserve anyway( maybe not though). Tungate is the King of laying it down.Anders never touched him.Great ride from Thompson a few Gorzow fans would be sweating though. Charles just dumped in the corner again!!!
  6. And today we lost another.....Number 19 Martin Ashby. Great rider for Swindon, saw him many times.
  7. Such desperately sad news! Martin Ashby was a true Swindon sporting icon and one of my first sporting heroes. He won the 1st race I ever saw, was undefeated in the first 5 meetings I went to and was my Dad's favourite rider - these things stay with you. A glittering career, but always such a humble, polite and generous man with fans. Sleep well Martin, and thank you!
  8. Info for any fans home, away or neutral 🙃 the main road into Workington A66 closed at stainburn roundabout. Also the road past marks and Spencer and the police station over the river towards Northside roundabout also closed. So best access to the speedway is either from cockermouth go towards maryport then onto Workington. Or further on the A66 go towards Whitehaven then at lillyhall turn back towards Workington and go through the town centre then towards the track past the old stadium. Bit of a nightmare but locals have had nearly 12 months of this
  9. Riders should know the expectations will be higher at certain clubs, like Glasgow or Poole. Even if the management tell them there's no pressure, they'll know the fans are used to a winning team (especially at Poole). If they want to learn the sport with zero pressure, could join a team that never wins anything?
  10. No official news from the hospital but I’ve heard it quite possibly is a broken arm and his season is over.
  11. Today
  12. Concussion would put him out of BSN final next week. Can't remember how many days out it is for young riders.
  13. Oh, I hadn't seen anything? That is so sad to hear. Absolutely legend, always got a very warm welcome at Plough Lane. What a rider...
  14. Thanks for the insight Beirao. Hope Lightcap didn't suffer with concussion, if it's a matter of bangs and bruises I confident we'll see him at Redcar, he's a fighter as we have all seen.
  15. 18.09.2026: R16 5th/6th place Play-down 2nd leg, Rzeszów v Piła: https://vksport.vkvideo.ru/video-53550004_456242871 Play-down 7th/8th place 2nd leg: Gorzów v Częstochowa: https://vksport.vkvideo.ru/video-53550004_456242872
  16. Congratulations to Poole on getting to another final and winning with havvy in charge as well double bonus
  17. Kordun and Bednar are not that bad given what they endured. Both in hospital, Kordun just having checks but not bad. Bubba has sensation in all limbs, nothing damaged and appears nothing broken, he was unconscious on the track and suffered concussion. This is the very first report.
  18. Condolences to his Family at this time. Cracking rider for the 'Robins'. R.I.P. +
  19. Havvy said he had a badly gashed right hand but I think the medics were a bit more concerned about his neck!
