I thought he was our rider of the year in 2023 and continued his magnificent partnership with Max Fricke in 2024... I was pretty shocked when he decided to walk away at the end of that year... but as he's had more clubs than [INSERT NAME OF FAVOURITE GOLF PLAYER HERE]. It seems that he doesn't take his team Speedway as seriously as many of the fans do but he's by no means alone in that where riders are concerned.

King's Lynn v Leicester 8/7/26. Postponed -Staff illness

Another one from the Kings Lynn book of excuses -
With all due respect, most if not all, meetings this season have been run really well and have been completed by around 9.15pm and well before 9.30pm, obviously as you have not attended this season you wouldn't realise that but feel you can comment witout the facts Unfortunatly last night was later finishing due to several reasons, a couple of heavy falls, several restarted heats plus additional track grading and watering in an attempt to keep the dust down under difficult weather conditions, hot, sunny and breezy, which dried the track very quickly, personally i prefer not to be covered in dust which would have been the case if the extra watering had not taken place, even you would agree that all tjese things were beyond the control of the Kings Lynn promotion !

Doyle should've been back hence why I was very vocal when he joined Belle Vue. It wasn't even a difficult decision to fit him back in, Easy three picks to release at the time, Lawson (Attitude), Nicholls (Ineffective around Play-Off tracks) and Hellstrom-Bangs (On and Off Track Struggles) Mayfield simply have to get it right in 2027, Paul Hurry's Mate's rates cannot be a factor under any circumstances, Loyal Club Riders like Danny King cannot become a factor either if he ends up on a 7+ GSA.

I used to like Lawson when he was a Lion, always gave everything I thought. Reading posts on here, he couldn’t wait to get away from KL last season and now appears to be rubbing up the Ipswich people the wrong way. Looks like there is a side to him that we didn’t get to see at Leicester. -
No point sacking Lawson now because the replacement won't be as good. Won't be back next season for sure as Mayfield won't put up with situations like last night, Possibly more too this than meets the eye imo because it all sounds very shifty imo, Maybe it's fuel testing on something like PhilTheAce said? Next season has to be a drastic change though, Minimum of 4 riders being given the chop from this season potentially 5.

The riders of a certain level can do what they want, given there are so few of them... They hold down two positions and often are HL's in both leagues.. Meaning they are pretty much "bomb proof".. Those who say we cannot have "one big league" due to the disparate standards between the riders that would need to be used, need to imagine what the next five years or so are going to bring when all the "vastly experienced" DU's have retired... Many teams will be using current NDL lads to DU , and these lads even in five or so years, will still be well off the standard of today's HL DU's..

Like I said, have 2 ques. Then the prepaid don’t hold up those waiting to pay on the day.

I was under the impression they helped all riders injured while riding in Britain. I’m quite sure Greg Hancock recently said they helped him they have also helped countless foreign riders as far as I’m aware.

Cant Lynn put up some tall fencing to negate the low sun, even some camo netting might be effective? if the sun is really that much of an issue then why not just start the meeting later? Lions showed last night they don't really need a number one, they just need to have seven riders who all contribute, drop Batchelor and maybe put in Justin Sedgmen, at least he will try.

How many people used to use this forum at its peak

Had a different profile before but this one joined in 2005. Lucky to work with a rider for 9 years, lost my club Eastbourne a few years ago now and despite being part of a consortium to bring the sport back to Sussex the Dugard's made it clear they wont let the sport run at Arlington again. Don't post that much anymore or go to many meetings but have sponsored a few riders over the years and now just sponsor Vinnie Foord. -
Strange decision by Adams to put Lidsey in heat 15, should've been Klindt surely?

He’s obviously taking the p*ss out of the sport and all those involved in it , fellow riders, fans , everyone. Because he’s allowed to. Imagine Keane ringing Ferguson to tell him he’ll be late. Then ringing him again to say he won’t be turning up at all actually. Hope the new owners turf him out with that attitude and lack of respect for everyone who pays his wages. Let him carry on being a flat track bully with the rest of them down on the south coast. -
actually saw this at the post office, youngster with 3 parcels to post, code on phone for parcels for post office to scan and print a label, she did the first one, had problems with the second as battery was low, but got it done and then the battery went on the phone before the 3rd parcel code was scanned. Post office worker suggested paying for the 3rd parcel, guess what ? "my card is on the phone, have not got the address details as it is on my phone and I don't carry cash" I post about 20 parcels a week, do the payment with Parcels2go online, print the label at home, and stick it on the parcel, it takes about 2 minutes for the post office to scan and post half a dozen parcels ! Fail to prepare, prepare to fail; !
