7 day ban as he missed the Oxford meeting at Kings Lynn last week due to illness. -
TBF they weren’t entirely sure when Jenkins was going to return and they gave Edwards a 28 day deal. They’re not the sort to go back on that so Edwards (rightly IMO) will get the full 28 days.

How did rubbishty little tungate get away with it last week? -
He won the match for them; he top scored! Other than the fast starting Lawson, the rest of the Stars looked very ordinary.
-
Disappointed not to see Jenkins named. He will need meeting to get up to speed so are we not backing him or what?

Take heart Aces fans, Kurtz can beat the best at Foxhall IF he gates, Zac Cook had a blistering meeting when riding for Wolves the other year so it can be done. I think the Witches will win but it won't be a walk in the park. I think something like 50-40 - looking forward to it anyway and plan to be there. -

Announced as a 'family emergency'! -
I can't answer for him, but probably is doubtful after all he has missed.

Why did he miss it then ? Everybody else gets 7 day ban. -
26 minimum i expect.

Went to Sheffield last night to see the Shambolic performance from 4 of the Aces, who scored less combined than Flint (even if you use Dan's 3 points for the tac sub win in the tally). That said, thought it ended up being a decent meeting after the first 6 races, and track prep looked decent. I don't blame Mark for giving Tata time, but he has left it too long, we should have been looking at a double change before the deadline, with him and Blodorn who is also struggling of late. I still feel Norrick could turn it around in the playoffs, but our reserves are a sitting duck and will ultimately cost us in the semi final.

Etheridge a good guest. Hagon blows hot and cold. Should be a close meeting again the way we are riding. Sizzling hot today and tomorrow. Need to flood the track tonight. -
This will be a heavy defeat, nothing to do with the track more to do with our engine room and reserves not being able to support the top two away from home. Changes should have been made, apart from Bewley and Kurtz getting out the gate i can see the home riders reeling in the rest and Dan and Brady have been passed at Foxhall when making the gate as well. Bottom line is we arent as a good a team as Ipswich.

So is Howarth ok to ride tomorrow having missed last nights match at Leicester? I know he wasn't injured or ill so was just wondering what the rule is on that. -
Dont forget they dont change their team mid season and apparently this gives them some sort of solace when they lose heavily. I would prefer my club to change if they can to improve the team.
-
Not really. The rumours are simply based on Kevin Boothby's illness (he's got leukemia), so they are presuming Towcester and Oxford will be in trouble. Reality is the plans for Suffolk Downs are still ongoing, so there's likely to be more tracks in Boothby's portfolio - not less. If the worst does happen, and he steps down, Mike Davis is likely to take over.

Odds On started following Oxford Stadium

so is there any foundation behind the rumours?

Mr Blobby replied to Weeyin's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Glasgow are at full strength, Jason Edwards for Victor and Hook for Grahn. Makes us weaker, even at full strength we’d probably struggle to hold on to our 8 point lead anyway. Annoying as we’ve waited two and a half months for the west side of the M8 to eventually decide to run it. -
Last time at foxhall Heat 1 …. Doyle passed Kurtz Heat 6….King passed Bewley Heat 8…. Mulford gated twice both times passed by King Heat 14…. Thompson and Cook good battle Heat 15…. King passed Kurtz So yes our track isn’t as good as yours but you still get some good overtaking and close races Though it does seem that when your team do gate at Foxhall the home team have the skill set to get past. Last night proved it’s not just the technical tracks that your bottom 4 struggle with it’s any track
