Sheffield Tigers 2025
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There's still time to revert to the original line up..... Interesting hypothetical - if Sheffield decided they wanted to do that and Kerr and or Sedgy said no could/would the BSPL impose a 28 day ban for withholding their services?? -

Bet your glad that's theirs no train back from Plymouth π -
Nailed on for 4th now

Is there a new rule that if you are 6 down and used your tactical sub you can pick your own gates? Because the Redcar pair went of the wrong gates in heat 10. What was the ref thinking? Why did Glasgow not object?

Nothing short of embarrassing. 3 good meetings and then back to the pre-suspension nonsense. Bought the stream but all that's done is convince me to stick with the GP tomorrow and not bother with the Plymouth one. Ditched it for Leigh - Warrington now, at least it's competitive. Hope Jye isn't too badly beat up after his nasty looking off. -

Saw a photo of the track before the meeting, looked like the Somme so I didn't bother wasting my money. -

Was in two minds about buying the stream, wish I never bothered. Certainly wasn't expecting a win but to throw the aggregate point away like they are was totally unexpected -

People werent happy with me when I said our few good meetings could've just been a positive blip. Today's result shows we are not good enough. If we lose tomorrow, and then go to Glasgow on Friday and lose, we will have four losses on the bounce. -
Etheridge injured and withdrawn at Scunthorpe tonight β¦. Nick Morris struggling as wellβ¦. Still donβt understand these changes
-
good luck to all concerned let's hope it comes to fruition ππ€

Just to add something to the 'debate', a start marshall remains on the track when the ref starts each race as he walks away from the start line but still on the track. In fact when the start marshall has to use a pole/bollard on the line to stop the tapes from billowing, he has to return to the startline to remove the pole while the first lap of the race is in progress. Also aren't start marshalls, like refs, SCB accredited?

Blown the 26 point aggregate lead after 8 heats, what a disaster! -
There are plenty of fans and contributors to this forum that would like nothing more than for Swindon Speedway to return, myself included, but like you and many others that have been around this whole sorry saga from the start, know deep down that it is unlikely to ever happen, and as Swindon Council have always complied fully with Osborne, then have no doubt that the Abbey is sadly history once the formalities have been completed. One thing for sure the next few months are going to be very interesting following the the process.

Extraleague Sunday 3rd August
Bavarian replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
That was a rather emotionless meeting at Czestochowa, in fact quite boring, in what used to be one of the hot spots of the Ekstraliga. The Ekstraliga this season fails to excite me, and I notice that crowds in the Polish stadia are significantly down this year. I've said it before and I say it again, the total dominance of Motor Lublin, and to a lesser extend Torun and Wroclaw, is doing the league no good. -
