Wild Cards for 2027
racers and royals replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
After the SEC we now know the Wildcards are 4 in number. -
A decent meeting and the last four heats had some of the best racing. Well done to Leon Madsen. These individual meetings in Europe bring out the best in the riders and I only wish we had more individual meets in the UK with some real prize for being the winner. Dream on as far as that is concerned and thanks for the links for this and all the seasons meetings we are indebted to Racers & Royals and Stewmac for the valuable contributions that they make which enable many to watch European speedway. Cheers guys.

Nobody who goes to speedway could care less about the atmosphere. They go for the racing. As for Coleman, don't say you haven't been warned.....

THE DEAN MACHINE replied to Technik's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I’d also like to see enforced in contracts that when you sign for a team you have to turn up to the end of season awards night, it’s such a small gesture to the fans but it seems it’s the end of the earth for some riders -

TIGERS 2027 1 HARRIS 7.92 / FLINT 8.24 2 FOREIGNER 5.00 3 DAN THOMPSON 7.54 4 ZISCHKE 6.52 5 ROWE 6.38 6 FOORD 3.23 7 JACK SMITH 3.04 TOTAL = 39.63 / 39.95 Am sure I heard Harris state that if the Championship remains 1 home/1 away ,he wouldn't ride in it. I know Smith has never got out the Reserve berth ,but on his day he is good at Ashfield (sometimes) -
Every country may have a past, but the Russia situation is currently a present. That's the big difference.

Indeed, which is exactly my point. I didn't claim the British Empire doesn't have a dark history. I'm simply pointing out that to say the Russian history doesn't compare - like our slightly mad forum member is trying to do - is completely absurd. He was trying to compare the Russian-Ukraine situation to British history, while completely glossing over the Russian history. Look back at the thread.

King's Lynn Stars 2027
YeOldPitGate replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The bigger issue is given Northampton was on the leftovers this year if two more teams come up and we can't get 5-7 other top liners back over what happens then ? this is also assuming Jack Holder recovers from what looks like a really bad injury if he doesn't then another top liner is needed to replace him also. -
Ipswich Witches 2027
cowboy cookie returns? replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I’d suggest that you do need some form of needle to get the atmosphere going. Currently there is little atmosphere at any uk speedway stadium unless you get a large crowd in for the big meetings. I’m very happy to have Coleman leading Ipswich & hopefully he’ll turn the fortunes of uk speedway around. -
Thank you for the detailed reply.

While you're at it, you could also ask the over 3,000,000 slaves England/Britain transported in the 17th/18th centuries. Every country has its past!
