Brennan is a real tough one for me and I'm currently 51% OUT and 49% IN tbh. My concern is that this year Tom has gone missing in a very weak League when we've needed riders to step up under big pressure. For me the final decision regarding Tom's status should be based around whether we can get a spearhead that contains three from the following 4 (Doyle, Fricke, Musielak and Woryna)

But then he could be brilliant tonight and then rubbish tomorrow, or vice versa. That's how inconsistent he is unfortunately.

It was one of two as a fair few had Sheffield also but that pretty quickly became one of one. Should be far more competitive next year.

But we have Kyle Newman, so no problem at reserve. Edwards was very poor last night.

Redcar need to really get stuck in tonight to make sure they take a good enough lead to Poole on Weds. A lot riding on the shoulders of Mulford, Edwards and Allen. They also need to capitalise on the fact that Lightcap isn't riding which definitely weakens Poole. Come on the Bears!

Complete rebuild is what's needed, and that includes Paul Hurry, he needs to go with all the changes. I'd keep Tobi and Tom, and let the rest go, no way would i keep King on his new average. Poole have said they are 'hopeful' that Slater is fit to return for the 2nd leg! Personally, if the badly-gashed hand is bad enough to keep him out tonight then I can't see it improving sufficiently for him to be fit tomorrow?! But we'll see..........

I'm surprised no one has done this yet but the comets return to the tapes in 2027, thankfully! Floodlights, 7pm starts, and hopefully a better season is to come! Who would we all like to see stay in comets colours? 1. Jeppesen - started the season fantastically. Was gating like he had a rocket strapped to him and was unbeatable around northside. Form dropped a little but still put some fantastic scores up. 2. Jakobsen - very erratic start to his British debut and spent most of first months on the deck or injured. Once he calmed down he started putting some better scores up and showed some real promise when dropped to reserve. 3. Tate - was quite consistent throughout the whole season and seemed to push on towards the back end for both comets and Belle vue. Hopefully the Glasgow rumours aren't true. 4. Batch - great captain for us and in his 3 seasons he has rarely missed a meeting. Put some solid scores in home and away. 5. Kemp - up and down since he joined. Some exceptional performances and some very poor ones. Unsure if it's mechanical gremlins or setup issues but seemed to struggle at times. 6. Vinnie - a rider who i felt sorry for. There's a good rider in there but it wasn't helped by suffering a horrible injury at the start of the season and then be catapulted into the main body of the team. He really needs a full season at reserve with better machinery too. 7. Perry - replaced Etherington quite early on and seemed to have hit the ground running away against Scunthorpe. A mixed bag once again. Sometimes good, other times scored 0.

Sorry, that's not really the true facts. Referee's report said "Medical Officer's clarification to referee, as helmet was cracked: Lightcap showed no signs of concussion" So if he recovers from the reported finger injury .......

Wasn't always going to win it. Didn't see anyone put belle vue as winning the whole thing. No one expected tate and norick to improve, also peter done way more than expected.

I know a lot of folk are keen to see Brennan go on his way, but after persevering with him all season, surely Ipswich will want to be the ones to reap the benefit of his reduced average
