  1. Past hour
  2. 8 home league meetings to fit in between April/may and end of August leaves September free for semi finals and finals. Sounds easy but speedway yet again makes this simple formula difficult. Happens every year, speedway never learns
  3. I don't know.... The excuses some folk come up with! Get well soon
  4. Doesn't need consistency - just 1 or 2 unexpected great nights ......
  5. We would rather go down with our own seven...😉
  6. It is a shame Tom Brennan is riding as they could have got Ben Cook to guest who is flying at the moment but I suppose they will just have to make do with Tom!
  7. Today
  8. Lidsey's league season ended in Poland last weekend but Kurtz' & Bewley's didn't until last night, I doubt they could get their kit from Wroclaw to Manchester in a van that quick! As it's a Monday, the protected night for British League, you'd hope so. Was the Indianerna v Vastervik meeting rearranged prior to last Thursday night when it was known who Belle Vue would be facing this evening? I honestly don't think Zischke has it in him to come to the party currently, I've not seen anything to suggest he is capable of consistently scoring points in the top flight.
  9. So 5 heat leaders now. Quite an improvement on Boughen!
  10. Agree, and it is down too riders dictating where they want to ride and when.Never change now though .
  11. 100% agree! cut off for all league and semi final meetings should be completed by end of August. That gives the whole of September to run the finals with hopefully the weather on your side. Only way to stop it is fine the clubs.
  12. I've also heard from a reliable source (Farmer Giles) that Doyle has got lost in Norfolk walking his dog this morning and may not be able to get to Belle Vue this evening even if he takes his RS6.
  13. No news on Bewley and Kurtz? They are more likely to have been bundled into a van and dumped somewhere outside of Poland after they knocked themselves out of the play off semi finals in Poland last night 😂
  14. If the fixtures throughout the season were better organised, rather than having gaps of three or four weeks between fixtures, it wouldn't happen. But it happens year after year and they never learn from it, which, for me, is total incompetence.
  15. ***BREAKING NEWS*** All happening in the polish airports right now, at big josh airport brennan has accidently got on the wrong Ryanair flight and is currently on his way to Sweden by accident at at Wroclaw airport Torun owners were seen dragging emil of his Ryanair flight and forcefully bungle him into a van on route back to Torun
  16. Ipswich were expected to win at home last week as well. Taking nothing away from Sheffield, but it was such a flat performance and none of the home riders seemed up for it which is a concern. Been all sorts of speculation around average reduction etc etc, well I guess we’re about to find out if there was any substance behind those theories. Doyle and Emil’s averages have tumbled this year, yet we still find ourselves two and a half points above the starting points limit! I’m with Gavan here. There’s no excuse to be had for Ipswich this time around. Leicester are the closest in terms of combined points limit, at just a shade under a point lower than Ipswich. Everyone else significantly lower. Ipswich always were, and remain the strongest team on paper, and it’s time for them to deliver
  17. Be interesting to see how the crowd is tomorrow night, not only running against England football team, but even closer the game taking place at Tatnam for Poole town! A number of people cross between both sports, me included as a ST holder at Poole town. Think the crowd will be poor tomorrow night, but the club had no other choice other wise it would have been late September. About time other clubs were heavily fined for not completing their fixtures or next stages in comps in a sensible time frame. Year after year we shall be heading well into October when the weather is poor and it ruins the meetings.
  18. Going to be a fascinating enocunter this as both teams are expected to win their home leg, the Witches last visit to the NSS proved that the Aces are vulnerable at home on occasions, as the Witches are themselves so all to play for. In my view it would be nice to have a Leceister V's Ipswich final so that at least in recent times we have a different winner to the last few years!
  19. So here we are the first leg tonight If we at Ipswich don’t get through to the final we have choked …. We got the skid final we wanted against a team we have dominated over 2 legs all season Play offs can throw up shocks and this could be won or lost tonight Kurtz and Bewley can get the maximum 28 points in this … Bewley gets better as the night goes on and the track line goes right to the fence…. Kurtz although with his mind elsewhere, will score heavy no doubt For me tonight is all about Lidsey and Cook… if these 2 can add 16 points minimum then Ipswich are in trouble We need to keep this to 14 as we have dominated them at Foxhall and the fact they can’t use Bewley or Kurtz as a tac sub is a help At Foxhall the most the top 2 have scored combined is 18 and with Kurtz having the last GP 2 days after I can’t see him taking any risks … if he makes the gate he won’t be caught but if he doesn’t he might not take a risk Hoping for 14 or less defeat tonight … anymore an I think it’s to much
