2027 - 8 Team Premiership
YeOldPitGate replied to CTRSports's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sounds similar to what happended at Rye House M.D -
It was Ian Jordan that wrecked Eastbourne speedway, He had riders on stupid guarantees, Chris Louis told me Richard Lawson was on more money at championship level for Eastbourne than he was for Prem Ipswich. The sport may be sustainable at Arlington but at prom level, doubt it myself.

Wonder if it’s Coleman’s deal or the other one Morris and co were working on…

Thank you for the insight. What do you know about Grigory's son "Greg"? I have heard that he might be a potential star of the future. - Today

Will need to a be a good tv deal though as personally think they would need to be offered a six figure cut to chance it. -
Total going up quite slowly atm. Maybe the club could do some fundrasing. Like Barker could do a sponsored silence or whatever..

I already know of riders that have signed to ride for Poole in the championship next season so in short no they aren’t moving up -
Plus Hancock has his ear and will hopefully tell him to go to the UK at least for a few years, he does look another gem though for whoever lands him assuming he does come over.

No, but a TV deal is very close meaning a good financial incentive -
Maybe the number of fixtures might be a consideration. These younger riders just want to race their bikes as much as possible.

Monarchs v Tigers, Scottish Cup, 02/10/26

But it's only the Mickey mouse Scottish cup, win at all costs for either team to save their season 😜 -
According to Plymouth's website they need to raise £46,000 for a new track fence by 3rd November, the date of the Speedway AGM. See the Gladiators website for how you can help!
-
What did they call that Poole rider that got into bother three or four times I've forgotten his name ?
-
Only in speedway Mike.

Call Tolley, would be a massive risk if they went straight back in the top league given struggles to make championship pay last time round, really hope they come to the tapes and it proves financially viable but would be a lot less risk for the would be promoters if they went into the championship. -
Ok, ok. Every rider is important Also if Scunny do win people will go on to say about Scunny predicted to finish bottom. But if you watch Humans of Speedway YT video about predictions from 6 months ago, AI predicted Scunny 5th, higher than any human! Not that far out really. Though it also predicted Berwick to win playoff final! So you win some, you lose some

I think he was and he's been doing regular laps around Lynn for several years, and has talked about his good relationship with the promotion and his love of the track. All that said he's a free agent on October 31st like everyone else and could sign for whoever he wants for 2027. You would like to think Buster would move heaven and earth to keep him though.

Was he a KL mascot? He talks about Lynn like he is a fan if theirs first.
