  1. Past hour
  2. I believe it was spoken about a few years ago. Obviously Spedeworth run the stadium but I believe the owners are still the original Ipswich Speedway from 1951. The stands I think came from the London Olympics. I believe the capacity is around 12000, and I'm pretty sure it will be packed in a few weeks for the Hot Rod final. As for improvements, it's a lot better than a few years ago but as with everything it's a numbers game.
  3. Can we just take a minute to actually realise it will be around the end of June before any witches fan sees a different team at Foxhall when you realise only Northampton and Kings Lynn have raced here this season. And shock, the next meeting is Kings Lynn. It’s really not that exciting for any Ipswich fans to keep watching the same riders race round.
  4. About right and we can't use the motorways so will take even longer 😜
  5. Today
  6. Thank goodness for our guest. A draw probably a fair reflection and i'm just glad that Luke Harrison found that speed too late in the day to score many points - that said, i'm not sure why he didn't take the r/r in ht14 - what am i missing? Thompson still rusty and looked unlucky to be excluded when Wood hit the fence but i'd need to see it again. Thomson continues to impress. Middle order ok in parts but real issues at reserve - Cluff looked back to his early season ways and Loftus looked all at sea tbh. Only one point between them and that was from a three man heat. Not good enough at home and will cost us.
  7. But worky and their many fans have a massive one off journey to Poole on a Wednesday or Plymouth on a Saturday or Oxford on a Wednesday
  8. Scott rider of the night followed by Klindt who showed king and nicholls the way home in the vital heats 13 and 15.
  9. Maybe the gp will be held at Foxhall after the home straight & pit area are rebuilt
  10. Pretty enjoyable meeting I thought. Not Klindts biggest fan but excellent tonight. Scott won the meeting though, excellent night and most of it from the back. Lambert unlucky with his puncture, but probably Edwards worst meeting as a Bear. King and Nicholls excellent for the visitors as expected with solid support from Barker. Probably not enough for us to progress but happy with the home win.
  11. Fickle lot and we will never know but it entertained the punter. I enjoyed that meet.
  12. A good nights racing and reminds me a bit of Friday nights at Hackney. Great entertainment and thank goodness that speedway is still being served up at this level. Well done to the riders and the presentation etc is first class. Onwards to the next meeting from Poland.
  13. What does poor old Nicolai have to do to get a vote πŸ˜‚ Not even his kids voted for him πŸ˜‚
  14. Great ride from Dudek, but even if it's Sayfutdinov (TS) & Dudek followed by Sayfutdinov & Lambert I can't see them.getting the two 1-5's they need to win.
  15. According to my old fella, that's because you're the greediest man barely alive πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ don't shoot the messenger πŸ”«πŸ€
  16. Dudek has just cost Torun any chance of winning going through the tapes.
