Completely agree unfortunately. A number of announcements will be made over the coming weeks and months. Plenty of work going on and change is afoot. Let’s see if things improve next year. They need to that’s for sure.

Yes having spent my life working around motorcycle engines I was aware of that, the original post suggested the 500cc engines were "restricted to 250cc" by putting a sleeve in the inlet manifold, I was clearly stating this was not the case, it is a power restriction, not a cubic capacity restriction, it is much what the sports mopeds did to get around the law when a BHP and speed restriction was added to the law to prevent manufacturers making 70MPH "mopeds" by tacking pedals onto sports 50cc motorcycles , these were usually restricted by smaller inlets/carbs and restriction in the exhaust, easy to circumvent if you knew what you were doing !!!

And their in lies the problem, one of the commentators made me laugh late on when he said one of the riders was moving out into the deep stuff to try and make a pass, what deep stuff, it was as slick as it could be, even Doyle said it was really smooth, all you had to do was make a start. A complete and utter pants of a meeting.

But again on paper it looked a decent side, genuine number 1, two of the very best young talents at 6&7 , Harris getting slightly worse every year but still good value, Kvech should have been a steal, Ben Cook okay hot and cold they should have taken a chance on a new overseas rider rather than Castanga, but its far from the worst looking team but as ever with Lynn just didn't happen.

I wouldn't have Brennan, has been poor all season and not really improved since moving to No.4. Woryna would be an injury risk for sure!

If they perform the same as tonight they will win races, Zach did well, he never goes well at Ipswich, Lawson is not a number one in that league and Cairns did well so there is no hope for your dream of a Redcar win on aggregate.

I don't think he has an 'ego'. I applaud any rider who tries to better themselves by dropping easy money in our Championship and trying to crack the much harder Polish leagues.....unfortunately it didn't work out for Tom this year and he appears to have regressed. A season in the Championship might be sensible if he cant get a Polish gig but I wouldn't give up on that avenue if I was him.

This is a familiar tale in speedway unfortunately. The best racing is often when riders have no idea which line is fastest or the track takes a bit of thought to ride and of course riders generally dont like that.

He thanked the supporters & the sponsors for sticking by them this year. After the take over they asked for people to stick by them & not judge them on 26. He thanked everyone from the bottom of his heart for doing that. acknowledged that the performance last night wasn’t good good enough but he would avenge that next year. Exciting plans are in place for next season however as yet he isn’t able to share & they have been working on those plans for some time. Thats what I like about him several times this year he has publicly engaged with the supporters. The guy is a breath of fresh air. Personally as for next year I’d take Toby back in two minds about Tom part of me thinks he is a bargain on his average, the other parts isn’t so sure. As for Danny again on the fence had a very good season however could be a risk on his average if the league is stronger. If the points limit stays the same again his average might go against him. Id also personally try & get scott involved as team manager.

I’d happily take him as a second string. But he needs to lose his ego and double up in the championship to get his mojo and confidence back

To be picky it's actually called the Premiership. Lapsed fans may still think of the Premier league as the second tier. Probably not a question for this post, but did they gain anything from naming the leagues after football? Really hope Speedway returns to Arlington, but won't get my hopes up. Be good if a Speedway fan won the lottery / Euromillions.

The meeting the other week against Sheffield was very good, some excellent racing with lots of passing. But most of the riders were having a whinge on both sides that the track was “tricky to ride” and they were struggling a bit with it. Tonight most of the riders were praising the track because it was smooth and easy to ride, but was serving up next to no entertainment to the supporters. Give me the track like it was against Sheffield and tell them to get on with it!
