Big difference there is Lynns appalling track record on dodgy call offs they’ve a long history of doing this for various reasons . -

was told in the nineties it was looked at by several top riders to use wider back tyres/wheels.

Good value programme and content from the recent Glasgow v Workington meeting . It included an interview with the owner Mr Faccena who has big ambitions for the club and reiterated the high requirement for entertaining speedway above all else and that trophies were a bonus or words to that effect .

Dan Ford on Charlie Southwick: "This is exactly what the sport is about - a young rider working his way through, showing commitment, and earning an opportunity" Noble words from Dan there. Just one slight issue...Poole still won't consider running an NDL team. The Happy Clappers down there don't like NDL racing, so there is no money to be made. Poole continue their policy of letting other tracks run the NDL, and they can pick out young riders when it suits them. Poole Parasites

I am inclined to agree, Bomber has had his chance and Brennan and Thompson are a lot better than most of the field let alone the other Brits. i would go further and do what other federations insist on, riders competing fully in their own federations leagues, I like Woffinden and he is still a good rider but him Lambert and Ellis should be riding in the UK if they want to ride in the British Championship, SON, World Cup and test matches, if they those to miss the UK (which clearly is their right) then they should miss out on National Championships and World Championship qualification places as well.

Undoubtedly.... But. Unless a radical overhaul takes place, (which won't/can't happen), then what we have is what there always will be till it organically finishes.. -

Plus, if anyone has booked a hotel you can get your money back the day before if you have to cancel... As long as you have paid the extra obviously, which, if you follow Speedway, you really need to... -

We go through this every year. Regardless of possible underhand reasoning, what is it Speedway fans want?? We see hundreds of comments of ban RR / guests, makes the sport a joke. Then there's moaning (rightly so imo) that meetings are called off for rain from 5-8pm. People need to stop being selfish pr!cks and realise the financial implications just for fans alone. There are 100s of fans at King's Lynn that it's costing £40-£80 round trip for these meetings. Taking whole / half day holidays from work Absolutely, 100%, calling a meeting a day before is beneficial for the wider public, regardless of reason -

The sport is beyond salvaging as a "proper sport" given the infrastructure around it that has been allowed to pervade over the past couple of decades... Therefore. Those who fund the sport make up the rules as they go along to suit their own requirements, which is fair enough as it is their money... They clearly have zero intention of the sport "being taken seriously" given the operating model they use, and the absence of any independent arbiters... "Being taken seriously" would be too expensive to implement, and would attract wider scrutiny, hence we have what we have... All promoters use the rules and regs to their advantage whenever they need to, and answer to no one but themselves, therefore can pretty much do what they want. And, as I say, it is their money funding their hobby and the sport, and, as we have seen, if any of them decide to walk away there isn't a large queue to take over their clubs... -

Precisely, there was 60-80% chance of rain from from 11am-8pm yesterday according to every forecast you wished to look at. I'm no fan of calling meetings off the day before but its not unique to Lynn and others have done it only for the rain to not arrive. -

NO. You’re the first one on here criticising the Mickey Mouse product we have over here, but you can fully understand why clubs just call meetings off because they’re missing a rider? If the sport is EVER going to sort itself out again and be taken seriously, then absolute pi$$ takers like Chapman need to be driven out of the sport. I’m sorry but you just can’t have owners running and not running meetings on the fly whenever it’s convenient/inconvenient and basically cheating. -
