Lions v Witches 31st August
InTheDeepStuff replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looks like this has been rearranged to Monday 14th September as Edinburgh Academy just posted their fixture on 13th September there has been cancelled due to Premiership fixture the next day -
Going into next season maybe the fixtures should be home one week and away the next, like football. That way at least you know your gonna see 2 meetings a month, and don't avoid foreign rounds of various Mickey mouse FIM meetings just draft a guest in, that way you still keep the 1 home meeting every 2 weeks

That's why many pilots fans won't be there, and season tickets not valid either, just imagine pilots fans cheering on a race with Comets V Bandits or scunny V Redcar π€£ -
Even as a season ticket holder, I have missed meetings this season because racing has been so sporadic I just canβt justify keeping Fridays clear when there are so few meetings to go to. The sign outside Ashfield says βevery Friday March-Octoberβ. This season, weβve only had enough meetings for every second Friday, April-August.

Crowds Speedway Can Only Dream About
mikebv replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The GP"s in Manchester showed Speedway, in the UK, can still attract plenty of people, at admission costs that are Premier League football level... As they bring relevance, credibility, close racing, and atmosphere.. Unfortunately, none of that is regularly replicated in domestic UK Speedway... There are a great many out there still following the sport, and closely, but don't see UK Speedway as something that warrants their attendance and monetary outlay... A huge opportunity for growth if those running UK Speedway ever listened and got things right... -

You do know it's on the worse race track in the league. And the team you support is only on track 4 to 6 times -

You do know you the best riders in the league will be on display and there are 40% more heats than a regular meeting. Worth at least a few quid more surely? -

Thanks I understand all of that, just wanted to know where you got the information, because if it is the same trailer as everybody else saw we can't go booking flights and hotels based on the teaser alone. -

Couple of reasons i would say. The GP 2 boys have the same qualifying as the non sprint GP qualifying( 12 noon local time) and they want to give maximum time after the Friday racing to get the track in A 1 order for Saturdayβs Sprint qualifying and meeting proper. Plus the ridiculous situation that there is no TV schedules to worry about as itβs not shown !!!
