  1. Past hour
  2. Lawson is so professional in his approach,he deserves the success, just gets on with the job.He weakness of the Leagues compared to a few seasons ago is a bonus for him.
  3. anyone from Sheffield - just for balance! If both Holders, as suggested, and Doyle were reluctant i can well understand it - the is a GP at the weekend, but also Holder snr and Dolye are both late 30s and have had some bad injuries in their careers. I can well understand reluctance to ride on a track that may not be safe. For the record not there - so no idea if the track was safe or not but none of those three strike me as shirkers!
  4. Just before the 1970 season started when interviewed on Border TV Ian Thomas labelled Vic Lonsdale 'The King of crash',,,,,but soon the crowd got tired of Vic's low scoring and booed at the mention of his name, he was hopeless. Then yes Chris Blythe got that title - not exactly one to be proud of eh. (I think Chris passed away this year?) And yes two unlikely lads won that 'best pairs' - I was there watching it.
  5. Last match of a very poor season for the Scorpions. Which way will it go, will Scorpions find some winning ways, or will the Bears take it? Heart says Scorpions win, head says Bears win. Probably more media interest on round 2 of Allen v Wright with air fence on bend one/ two taking first hit.😁
  6. Rider dictating when they want to ride or go home ,what’s new.! It wont be racing ,will be the excuse. Everyone when the track needs work done so late it means the riders want too go home, 9times out of 10 the meeting doesn’t go ahead.
  7. Well you have 4th spot now confirmed and Leicester will finish either second or third. Not sure about Sheffield and Ipswich but no doubt the powers that be have it all under control! 🤷‍♀️
  8. Not Ipswich problem if the track wasn’t ready, I wouldn’t wanna hang about with the aggressive Sheffield fans near me either. Sheffield chose to miss multiple Thursday night meetings during the summer months, it’s on them, not Ipswich.
  9. Belle Vue 2 man team away from home as usual Good result for the stars
  10. Richard Lawson paid 14 at Kings Lynn tonight ,wow what a season he is having.
  11. LOL not for the first time you’ve proven yourself to be utterly clueless. Richard Lawson - rider of the season and should be the first name on the team sheet for next year IMO.
  12. And neither Holder brother wanted to ride either so what’s your point and why would Ipswich riders hang around
  13. nope theyve won with a heat to spare if cook was already down to be in 13 i dont think he was ever doing four on the trot (potentially five) hence luke getting his fourth ride
  14. Yes it does happen everywhere yet when it happened at Belle Vue last year heavy shower in middle of meeting, Sheffield fans were going mad even had Woffinden an co taking the piss on social media.
  15. Apparently Doyle was rider from Ipswich team who didn’t want to ride. Ipswich riders were packed up and gone within 10 mins of announcement they knew ages before
  16. Everybody agrees it’s a hard track to race when it’s dry as you have to be so committed so being wet it’s probably a non starter. Should have done a Lynn and called it early, only reason they didn’t is because now they don’t have any time to run it.
  17. I'm not questioning the efforts of the track staff, 100% kudos for their effort. Fans should not be admitted entry to the stadium until the match is declared as going ahead... this kind of thing does the sport no favours at all... just another cut to die by. Called off by the SCB, who have zero financial investment in the sport, just choosing who and when to apply their tin pot rules to.
  18. It could be the difference between winning and loosing for the fans though. Maybe Cook didn't want it, or is feeling the injury, didn't want to on the trot.
  19. Weren't they gonna do that years and years ago to make it the Wembley of the north ??
  20. Apparently neither Holder brother or Doyle were that keen to race
  21. not like the old days bikes are volatile to ride and riders wont take a chance if the track isnt right no doubt the two gp boys werent keen
