I don’t know why you would think Ipswich fans would want you to go under, just because people have strong feelings on matches etc it’s all part of being a fan of a sport. The sport is what holds this community together so anyone would be stupid to want any club to go under whether you love the other club or it’s your rival. Personally, I hope you find a buyer ASAP so you can have sufficient time to plan for next year. Everybody wants strong teams to fight against. Good luck!

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
ShanoXtra replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
My bigger concern is that end of this season his work visa runs out. You can renew it obviously but it’s another thing that makes me question if he will return or not. -
Nigel said he wouldnt be going sheffield, wonder if he lied to us all, i still wouldnt rule our ashley birks or even godfreys name has been mentioned to me

Nobody knew that we were going to have a record breaking dry summer when they were planning the fixtures. From the start of the season to the date of the original fixture, there were only 3 Thursdays where neither Sheffield or Ipswich had a match, and one of those was the day before the British GP. I doubt anybody looking at the fixtures at the start of the season was concerned that a meeting in August Bank Holiday week was likely to be rained off.

I don’t think Emil will be riding the uk next year. I’ve not heard any rumours it’s just a hunch, especially if Ipswich win the play offs as he will achieved what he set out to 3 years ago. -

There are 24 weeks from the beginning of April to the end of August to fit in 12 home fixtures. We have just come through a record breaking dry hot summer so no reason that fixtures should be pencilled in so close to cut of date. Especially with the SPON taking place this weekend & not the height of summer as normally happens. I am not blaming Sheffield for the weather but the club/fixture planners need to take ownership for the reason we are running league after the play off final teams have been confirmed.

Don't be so bloody thin skinned. Some of the criticism has been justified. The track for instance has been publicly criticised by your own damn riders for christ sake.

At the end of the day we all know that Poland call the shots regarding letting their contracted riders ride over in the UK, no doubt his Polish side didn't want Emil risking getting injured again and missing important matches considering he was injured at Sheffield last yr, and as long as we keep playing second fiddle to Poland this will always happen simply as that if we like/agree with it or not.

There were only 2 programmed races (15 & 17) with only 3 riders after Jeppesen's crash and withdrawal. OK a couple of other re-runs for d/qs but no different to lots of other individual meetings elsewhere. -

Aries replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Glasgow look a Premiership team all ends up. Finances are there, support is there, and the club is extremely well run. It’s a top flight club. If they made the move up I’d expect them to be immediately challenging at the top end unlike others who have made the step up in the past. -

Great to see Cooper Rushen in the pits and a good interview with co-presenter Pirate Lee.🙂 -
He "cannot gate" seemingly was the reason given on here by Ipswich fans... Dan Bewley has the same problem apparently hence he could only match Kurtz's score, again, according to Ipswich fans.... They have both done so amazingly well therefore to be such high achievers in a sport where starting is absolutely paramount... Imagine how good they would be if they could start?😉 I presume Dan must have been really, really lucky in last years final to make so many starts and win so many races... 😁 Let's just hope Emil makes a swift and complete recovery...

Sheffield - for sale
spin king junior replied to Cue Ball's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Oh get over yourself- the attitude of an handful of Ipswich fans on this form has been pathetic over last couple of years- constantly hounded about our track, fans and riders and giving a dig at every opportunity even when their teams aren't involved in it. Do I think most fans want to see Sheffield open? Absolutely. but with way the club has been lambasted by some i also feel there's some that would relish seeing the demise of the club i support. I'll leave it there. If people agree or disagree I don't care anymore. Outside speedway I'm a Wednesday fan so seeing both clubs you support potentially go to the wall is pretty draining. -
