Who actually saying Jenkins won’t be at Berwick then as there going to need a re shuffle now Kildemand has retired. On the subject of Jenkins vs Newman I’d have Jenkins much better all round scorer, from memory Newman hasn’t done much away from home and feel Jenkins would be better in away matches.

Personally think we need some big changes next season. Would prefer to see at least C Holder and Flint defintely go, only have Rowe and Etheridge back if we need to make up the team and then bring back Picko, Jack and Killeen (if rs continues) Bit difficult to start planning until we know what the team building averages will be for next season, but im hoping we dont try to keep together a similar line up thst just hasnt worked. -
Fantastic news would have been an absolute tragedy if the lads career was cut short as he's entering his prime.
-
Could just swap 2 and 6 around for that team to hypothetically work
-
I’m not sure Chris Holder has any value with that average, I’d move on Rowe, Chris and Picko on from this years top 5, know sourcing two heat leaders is easier said than done though

As far as I understand the rules the Champ will be treated like the German, French or Czech leagues. There's no limit for riders in these leagues, but they don't have fixture priority over Sweden (Tues), Prem (Mon, Thu), Denmark (Wed) or Poland (Fri-Sun). But I agree clarification from the BSPL would be good especially now the news has been "leaked"

Did Berwick host a development meeting this year? Or was it second halves that (NJL) that covered them? Just thinking if they had a stars of tomorrow meeting & gave fans the opportunity of taking a selfie with the KOC trophy, may have helped the attendance? Also a good reason not to race the BSN & KOC finals so late in the season. I imagine crowds would be up for the following meeting (if they had one)?

2027 - 8 Team Premiership

There aren’t enough good riders of that standard to go around, will be relying on some new foreigners to the leagues. Is the championship exempt from these rules again? That’s where these rules would make more sense, should be brits at reserve only if you ask me -
I could be wrong, but I believe, per the paragraphs below, that premiership teams need to have 2 x u21s at reserve next year. 1 must be British, the other can be foreign or British. (I've not seen an official BSPL announcement which will confirm either way, the quotes below are from a Polish announcement translated to English). Given the lack of foreign u21s riding in the UK in recent seasons, I am not convinced that there will be a queue, so I expect some teams may end up with 2 Brit u21s. If my understanding of the proposed new rules is correct then the teams need the u21 foreigners more than those riders need the UK teams, and a top Polish u21 rider is generally much further ahead in their development than the Brits are. If I was a top u21 rider, say 2026 u19 World Champ Kevin Małkiewicz, I'd be asking for heat leader money from UK teams. "From 2027, the rules for youth players in the top leagues in Sweden, Denmark, and the UK will also change. A team must include at least one domestic U21 player , while the other can be either domestic or international." "The changes to Under-21 rider regulations could also have an impact on team building, with clubs required to include at least one domestic U21 rider while having greater flexibility over the nationality of a second youth rider."

Must confess, I am non plussed as to the end game for this rule re UK licenses... Several UK riders down the years have ridden on "foreign licences", Wigg, Cox and Smith being three that come to mind immediately... Lambert is living in Poland, has a Polish wife, and a child on the way, so could tick a few boxes for citizenship, particularly if his child is "Polish". (Torun would be pleased if he was a "home rider" I am sure), so maybe him getting a Polish licence wouldn't be too difficult, (or a German one!).. I am not sure the UK promoters realise that many "top riders" nowadays, don't need to ride several times a week anymore.. If you are getting a £250k signing fee and £2,500 a point, (that and more for the "true elite"), then riding one meeting every weekend in Poland and, (maybe) topping up your income on Tuesday in Sweden, is maybe enough?? Logistically the UK brings its own challenges with equipment needed over here, plus a mechanic, storage, flights etc, so not sure putting barriers up in any way shape or form is a great plan..

What a night last night was. Awesome performance by the Aces, I was worried without PK, but the lads rose to the occasion, Kurtz and Doyle were at their brilliant best, but special mention for Tate who was once again superb, and Zach Cook who had the hardest job of the night and delivered in every race he was in, especially with his excellent heat 14 win. The atmosphere was electric, with nerves excitement and chanting from the Aces faithful. BV v Sheff matches always bring out the best in the fans from both sides IMO. Special praise for the track staff, after the terrible weather the track was in excellent condition, which was great to see. On to Friday now, Aces in the box seat, but cant be complacent, we need to continue how we rode last night and not think its won.

If the rumoured two under 21's at reserve is true that would rule out Howarth.

There was an interview with him maybe 10 days ago saying he’d had surgery at end of September and noticed more improvement in that short period than he had done in all the time since the accident, believe he said the nerve had become tangled so been released, hopefully he can now move forward with his recovery plans

I don't see much change at the Tigers, I think Picko is going to be Sheffield's version of Danny King where he'll always be in the 1-7 even if fans are split on it. 1. J. Holder 2. ? 3. C. Holder 4. L. Flint 5. J. Pickering 6. ? 7. ?
