Stoney & Nick The Lips NICE Run Out
bigdave replied to bigdave's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Update from Stoney on the money collected for the Ben Fund from Belle Vue and Sheffield on Bank Holiday Monday: On bank holiday monday we took our car for under £500 to @bellevuespeedway and @sheffieldspeedway armed with a bucket trying to promote our trip in aid of @srbf. We parked up at the turnstiles before both meetings, and thanks to your generosity, we surprisingly between us all made a grand total of £528.63 which will be paid into the Ben Fund this week. £209.29 at Belle Vue and £319.34 at Sheffield. We are delighted with the way things are progressing, its just the car at the moment thats the problem, which again developed another misfire on our way over the penines. She's in the garage @mantra being looked at by the students who hopefully will get her singing again. Thank you to all who donated to our cause, and if you wish to donate you can always visit our gofundme. Cheers. Stoney & NTL. X https://www.gofundme.com/f/speedway-riders-benevolent-fund -
I think you lose the right to privacy when you put all your troubles on Facebook, strong language and all, available for the whole world to see

Did you know or were you just guessing?

Some things are best left off here, the guy may or may not have ongoing problems, but it's up to him and people around him to help sort things out. Speculation on here won't help him or anyone else who maybe going through difficulties

Jordan Jenkins Racing Redcar and I have mutually agreed to part company after some confusion. I’d like to thank the fans for always being welcoming and friendly, and I wish everyone at the club all the very best for the remainder of the season. I’ve continued to work hard behind the scenes in the workshop and all equipment is ready to go. As one door closes, another will open. Thank you to all of my sponsorship partners and supporters for your continued backing - it’s greatly appreciated. #JJ85

Witches v Foxes 28.05.26

Looking forward to my first (live attended) meeting in 2026 - id have thought a routine home win but will be interested to see how the Fixes reserves do as they were bested their counterparts in the Foxes home match! -
He’ll say he’s better than Kurtz
-
Eddie Kennett who saw that coming, still hope he does well enough to silence the doubters!!
-
Presumably someone like Mulford didn't fancy it
-
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be. Even so, Kennett is hactually two weeks younger than Danny King. Can't imagine he will appear to be any worse than Hellström-Bängs in terms of on-track effort. He rode at Iwade for Kent Kings against Mildenhall on 10th May, beaten only by James Shane's in the final heat: Eagles: Edward Kennett 14(5), Ben Morley 12(5), Jack Kingston 11+1(5), Connor King 5+2(5), Alex Chadd 5+1(5), Nathan Hargrave 5(5). – 52 Fen Tigers: James Shanes 12(5), Ben Whalley 10(5), Sam Woods 7+1(5), Kenzie Cossey 6+1(5), Patryk Daniszewski 3(5), Max Broadhurst 0(5) – 38 I know this means nothing in terms of how Kennett might perform in the Prem, but at least it shows he's kept fit and is still interested in riding.

Do you remember when Rick left it until the last meeting to nudge over a 6 point average to be able to come back the following year from memory he got a 15 point max which I think nudged him up to something like 6.01
-
What a blast from the past I can remember a last heat decider at Lynn against Cradley and it was Bricey up against peak Eric Gunderson as usual Bricey out-trapped them all but by second bend it was all over as usual. If Speedway world championships were decided over the first three metres he would have had about forty titles I think he was parterned by Roger Horsepool at reserve.

If it wasn’t meant to be out there then it wouldn’t be would it. I’ll stay quiet in future whenever there’s any concerns regarding our 1-7. Forgot this was a dictatorship and not a place to have conversations. 🤡

shows the sorry state the sport is in in the country when eddie kennett is returning at the top level.
-
Largely agree with Baldyman here - it’s not often I am surprised by some speedway news but this really is a big one! Didn’t see that coming at all.

Yes if you could have got Thorssell in on 4.5 that would have been the signing of the season as you would hope in this league he would be north of a 7 point plus average even if he was in the top five of the team.
