PHB is a 4.50 so Jenkins even with a 2.5% Reduction would fit, I really like Jenkins and I hope he manages to pick up a PREM place Mid-Season but anyone would be insane to use him over Hellstrom-Bangs imo. We've heard that Mayfield have one eye on 2027 already and assuming that he enjoys British tracks then I think it's safe to say that PHB will be a Witches Rider for more than one season.

Amongst all the old timers, Jordan Palin was amazing.

What about Northampton?

So about 2 points over - potentially why it looks quite good! -
Great news for UK Speedway... Yet another overseas rider being given a chance to take up a spot that a UK rider should have got... And on, and on, and on, the Great Plan goes.. Well, if it ain't broken, and all that!!!

For any historians out there, can they tell me what team played rugby in the centre of the stadium from the black and white footage? Never had the opportunity to visit Hyde Rd as I wasn't old enough to drive but heard some great stories from former work colleagues who were regulars(who were Crewe Kings followers) about it being a great day out with the zoo being nearby.

He didn't.

I think the Peterborough guest only scored one and Andersen was injured withdrawn in his first ride, so a terrific Panthers performance.

Think about what you have said. in one breath you state UK can’t afford top riders then mention Kvech & PHB who can only ride in the UK because they will ride on Mondays & Thursdays. Also please consider that having NDL riders in same meetings or even races as the two aforementioned is in no way the best approach to providing competitive racing and confidence development of younger riders.

I’m sorry but how this has all been handled is a shambles. It’s far from a professional sport let’s be honest. Speedway in Britain needs some drastic changes and these promoters won’t do it alone.
-
But as has been said, there’s two sides to every story. We don’t know to what extent he was in the plans do we? I also read the Star this week where he says his average wasn’t a low as they thought it was. Maybe they assumed he’d get the 25%, and he’d be in on the provision they managed to get a number 1? Ok you could say they should know the rules, but let’s face it they’re new to this game and the rules are hardly crystal clear. We also don’t know how long Paul Hurry has been in place. Maybe they started to build the team, and then Paul Hurry came in and decided to change things. We just don’t know.

replace klint with jenkins and then it fits, and would still be a good team. Although if they run i think Wright will be in the team -
Can’t agree with you at all on that, King has a respectable away average and if Klindt doesn’t like the way the wind is blowing , he’ll do nothing at all as he will be on his usual guarantee.

Ipswich Witches 2026

I don’t think we have seen the last of Jenkins at Ipswich. While I don’t think we’ll see him this year I think he’ll be back in 2027. -
What about Northampton?

Actually a pretty decent team if it does! -
Riders sound out clubs, clubs sound out riders. It happens all the time and you’ll get situations where riders will be in a team one minute, and out the next. It’s commonplace. Until you actually sign a contract then nothing should be taken for granted.
-
Because when they retire and leave the sport people like Jordan are the new generation then people like you will probably say they aren’t good enough… so give them a chance in the here and now to become the future. Not look to the past. It’s not a weird thing to say. It’s a get out from the promotion to get the fans on side with a club legend, yet they said they are trying to build a sustainable sport.

Could the said pole have been a resident in the UK for several years, he may also have resendency due to being over here many years. Not sure how this affects the so called rules of speedway. BTW a young kid in the U16 meetings is the son of a pole, but born in the UK

Premiership Predictions 2026
Teromaafan replied to TheTopDrawer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I take your point about the team finishing top not being rewarded, but expecting a share of gate receipts from matches in which they are not involved is not the answer. -
Haha, I suppose losing Hans Andersen after one race in the final was a benefit to Peterborough!!

You only need to look at the Witches Facebook page to see the popular reaction to Nicholls. He will bring paying customers into the stadium, and is worth the risk if he can score. It also ensures Hellstrom-Bangs starts at reserve.
