I don't see the need for it. If a meeting ends in a draw then it's already been an exciting end to the meeting with a lady heat decider. While some say it's extra value for money for fans & an extra heat to watch. That's not something fans can plan for, a fan on the fence about whether they go to watch a match, isn't going to day "you know what, let's go incase we get an extra race for our money". I just don't see what's wrong with a drawn meeting!

Nicholls isn't an official is he, he's just part of the TV crew, he could ask them to arm wrestle for all I care. Surely the riders, managers or referee should have told him "no we need to do a coin toss"?

It’s a silly concept … Ipswich deserved a draw last night and so did Belle Vue for battling back

Don't see how you can plan for heat 15 with a super heat in mind. Whether you are in front or behind you will surely be targeting maximum points from heat 15.

Out of interest with the delay "for a big crowd" what would you estimate the rough size was I'm guessing maybe a thousand ? it used to be a big crowd was north of £3k, it wasn't to many years ago when Poole came down on a bank holiday with Ward and Holder and Buster was quoting the biggest crowd since the mid sixties.

We will never know the result if Lidsey had ridden. Nobody could have predicted what did happen last night. Race the same match tonight with the same teams and you'll get a different result.

Potentially they could just save them for the super heat instead of having them in H15. I guess it depends what result is needed for a superheat at the time. Personally I don't mind a superheat, reason we got though to BSN SFs. Otherwise it would have been Scunthorpe. 🤷‍♀️😄

Saw people leaving early last night probably wasn't anything to do with the score at the time but due to the time and the over use of the tractors which probably done as many laps as the bikes.

I was down as a comets fan, got to agree crowd levels are a lot better than the same fixture last year, so bigger crowd equals more spending in food/drink outlets, so win win for the promotion, the announcer was good, the mascot interaction with the crowd was good not over the top, and acknowledged the travelling comets fans, some interesting races, if a Plymouth or neutral fan, but not as a comets fan ☹️ one negative the length of the track grade and interval, it took over 2.5 hours to complete 15 heats of speedway, yesterday heat 14 was re run umpteen times,but 150 minutes to do 15 heats come on ☹️ hopefully back to Plymouth next year with the comets

And then move on to guests? United could definitely do with some.... "Where Speedway leads, the rest follow".... A nice slogan....

It has been proposed before, by myself and others, that the riders in Heat 15 would not be eligible for a Super Heat. That would negate a 2 x Big Guns team's advantage.

I think it's just a payday for most of the riders, sadly
