  1. Past hour
  2. Harris is back to number 1 isn’t he from today, so will mean R/R, guest or replacement for Howarth coming in at number 3 or 5. Could do horses for courses with Flint and what they decide to go going forwards in those two positions as KJP still needs to support at number 4 in his races with still not much experience around all the UK tracks
  3. and the land would already be in their future plans ten minutes in ,oh nobody wants to build a stadium so we'll press on with the houses
  4. Mr Newman must turn up tonight and score big to give us any chance, maybe his best away score in 3 months.
  5. May make it more interesting as riders could be chasing set ups for a few heats, as this is the 1st time a GP has been staged here
  6. After reading the article in the Star, it seems there is no intention to build a stadium. The plan is to demolish the existing stadium, build the houses but leave a levelled piece of land big enough for a limited capacity stadium and invite parties interested in operating a speedway facility to manage the operation. The successful applicant would then be a tenant but responsible for financing the building of a stadium that can operate within acceptable noise levels. It would take a brave person or consortium to take on that level of investment in a stand alone, limited capacity speedway facility. No doubt they would find a successful applicant in order to get the green light. Maybe even dump some prefabricated grandstand sections left over from the Abbey on the site before it all falls through due to financial difficulties and the applicant pulls out.
  7. Result will depend on how many pilots riders are looking at their average for next season, looking at some of the scores from last night 😜 like the rocket man

  9. Agree riding Harris at 3 seems a poor decision, especially at home. You have to negate the away Team Big Guns is possible.Harris didn’t have great start to the season to be fair though. He was maybe thinking Howarth and Flint would be Ok in Ht 13,but Howarth packing it in ,the Team should have changed around. IMO
  10. You may call it an agenda, I will call it my opinion. His decisions over the years have been beyond baffling. He has no awareness of how the team should line up against certain teams. Harris at number 3 is insanity IMO. Last night is a perfect example, you either put Harris at 5 to try and negate Kye Thomson and give us a very strong end too the meeting or put a sacrificial lamb (Hausl) in there, let KT run amok and deal with the rest of the team. It’s not a slant on Leon as he has been magnificent this year. Giving up a 5-1 in 13 is scandalous.
  11. If he is, there might be some folk who choose not to attend. On principle.
  12. Today
  13. Not for a while I can’t see that sort of thing happening… But *when* UK top flight Speedway finally dies, I can absolutely see Belle Vue riding in the Ekstraliga.
  14. OK I'll take the plunge as nobody from Devon way seems interested in starting the thread. Plymouth have their usual seven, but with Nicholls now at 1 and King at 5. Poole have Kyle Newman as Captain and use Luke Harrison as a 75% replacement for Zach Cook, with Dayle Wood stepping in for Fraser Bowes. Should be another close one with Plymouth having the slight edge as they will want to stop their recent losing streak. Thoughts? Lewy? Anyone?
  15. Simply replying to MagicMike's comment about Middlo having to phone up a different guest for Eddie.
  16. Agree and while its absolutely not an excuse this is one of the issues of outsourcing media duties.
