Sunset time 7.34 beginning of April 8.15 end of April, so if floodlights are not available theirs a fighting chance to get a meeting over before it goes dark, can't be any worse than lights at some tracks 😛
-
Yes. How did you know? That part was meant to be kept secret till after the staff signing tonight.
-
While it is good that clubs have Reserved dates for the BSN and KO Cup finals, it's less clear when the semi finals may be, much less any rain offs.
-
And don’t tell us but a certain Mr Godfrey will be team manager and he has managed to get concessions from Polish authorities to ride most home matches on a Sunday providing those matches take place between October and March which would work as most teams do not seem to like riding matches in the summer months.
-
If you do the math and realise she’ll want 8 female riders of an Afro Caribbean/ Africa ethnicity in her team , she probably wouldn’t make a fist of it at all.
-
and if you build it up, likely it will be anti-climatic Not sure any of the thinking is actually joined up ?

Aa a pundit she was/is an absolute "crock of...." Didn't deserve both barrels from Barton but certainly didn't deserve new contracts either -
And the award for the most ridiculous post of the day goes to...🤡🤡🤡
-
Not really sure why you picked Eni Aluko as an example. The way she and others were slandered, bullied, etc by Barton was an absolute disgrace. She would probably make as good a fist of it as some of the TM’s over the years.

I think the new owners are building up the suspense because they have managed to sign up a real blockbuster team, bringing back Doyle and Sayfutdinov, backed up by Lindgren, Robert Lambert, Zmarzlik, Lebedevs with Tai Woffinden as rising star. The 37 points limit was waived….or else! As the new owners said.

What about Northampton?

the guy is a complete idiot, wouldnt worry about it. -
I’ve taken the view throughout that completing the sale of a business takes time and that the formal confirmation/announcement will be made whenever that process is complete. However…..it is getting a bit strange now, particularly in the context of this evening’s little soirée.

In all seriousness Buttons makes a good point. Someone official has to be there don’t they? It’s all getting a bit bizarre
-
Perhaps the signing on night will be rained off, in the interests of speedway?

Worked for Poole as Starke upped his average. I'd have Lambert ahead of Starke, got a higher average, spending at least half the season in the top 5, compared to Starke at reserve all year. I wasn't impressed with Lambert when I saw him last year, but his average is attractive enough to give him a chance to show last year was a one-off poor season?
-
Perhaps the announcement is going to be at the staff sign up and will be posted around 7ish?
-
-
Eni Aluko being announced as the new Team Manager would sum this entire winter up.
-
Well hopefully someone who is attending can find out what the hell is going on and then let us know!
-
So with no announcement beforehand of the sale and new ownership etc who’s running the staff signing on night this evening? Are those in attendance going to be met by CL and sign on yet be kept in the dark about who they’re actually volunteering to work for this season? Or will the new owners be there and everyone have to follow some sort of ritual and be sworn to secrecy until the deal finally goes through? 🫣😂

I have sent in my details. Good luck to those doing the hard work! Having moved from the area I now go to Oxford throughout the season. It would delight me if Coventry could be another phjoenix and rise from the ashes like Oxford. There does need to be a serious rethink by the governing body about the sport but this is not the first time that it has faced difficulties. Good luck to all those who are trying to do something positive!

Can't help thinking that that is in bad taste. What Kenny did was nothing to make fun of. -
Mr Coleman is waiting for better weather, as the busking trade is not drawing in enough coin at present.

What this time of year. Not winter you do that in spring
