What about the possibility of another GP rider...Rohan Tungate? Wants to come back to the UK and seems he will be on a decent average.
-
Agreed from a Polish point of view if the wheels are coming off if the top 8 clubs got together and said its max 3 x UK rates the riders would still sign up.
-
I seem to remember a few years back wasn't it Hancock got paid a massive sum to sign for the Polish equivalent of Wrexham Town FC, I'm not sure if he ever saw any of the money but can remember the headlines and thinking this is bonkers must have been ten plus years ago.

Ipswich Witches 2027
PersonalResponsibility replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There was an article a while back claiming that Bydgoszcz fans weren't best pleased about the 'expensive' season ticket prices for 2027 (bearing in mind this is the Ekstraliga...). Rough figures below. Place Normal Pass (PLN) Normal Pass (GBP) Reduced Fare Pass (PLN) Reduced Fare Pass (GBP) Main Stand 1300 PLN £247.43 — — New Stand 750 PLN £142.75 650 PLN £123.71 Sector A 500 PLN £95.17 400 PLN £76.13 Sector B 400 PLN £76.13 350 PLN £66.62 Place Regular Ticket (PLN) Regular Ticket (GBP) Reduced Price Ticket (PLN) Reduced Price Ticket (GBP) Main Stand 220 PLN £41.88 — — New Stand 120 PLN £22.84 110 PLN £20.94 Sector A 80 PLN £15.23 70 PLN £13.33 Sector B 70 PLN £13.33 60 PLN £11.42 Some of the tickets are fairly pricey, especially given you're only getting 7 home meetings a season in your ST, but most of them seem like excellent value. -
1.Sam Masters 8.99 2. 3. Kyle Howarth 8.08 4. Luke Killeen 6.03 5. Tom Brennan 8.64 6. 7. Total 31.74 leaves 8.26 a proverbial wagging tail but with that top 4 that will win a lot of meetings. id assume it’s going to be 2x2.00 riders at reserve.
-
Agree although during his guest appearances for us he wasn’t fully dialled into the track he did make some big improvements this season and I feel he has a lot to offer for 2027

When did a multi-year rule ever last more than 1 year?
-
If it’s Batch and Nicholls, then I’ll go for something like this: Nicholls - 7.95 Thomsen - 4.86 Barker - 7.57 Klima - 5.04 Batchelor - 7.04 Grmek - 3.56 Foord - 3.30 Total 🟰 39.32
-
Or all three!!! 😎
-
With the 1 Over 8.00 rule being scrapped do we now assume that Plymouth or Workington aren't running because the Team Building rules were set for 3 Years on the basis that 9 Teams would compete in the Championship?
-
Are you Jason Pipe in disguise ?😄
-
Must be a 37.00 limit then.
-
Also means one massive wage bill as it’s well known Klindt doesn’t come cheap. Think King is a more likely option, wage wise and points limit .
-
@lewywill be at number 1 😜🤣
-
Yes Tom Brennan has realised that sitting in Poland as a No 8 does not work if your not riding a bike, same as Dan T
-
Simon Lambert looking for a team place 😜 Redcar have told him they don't want him Unfortunately with the rumours on here I fear this is the type of rider the Comets may sign, hope not, just have to wait and see, but would like to see batch back, maybe Jake Allen as well go for a solid side. After all the past season the team scored 40 points in all bar 2 away meetings, and several last year deciders, which is a good effort IMO

Glasgow Tigers 2027

There’s any number of riders who can look awesome in the NDL but that’s their limit. Loftus has a 9+ average in NDL but only 3.76 in the CL. I saw Shanes when he rode at Glasgow the night Greg Hancock was there. Greg told him to get his “ass” off the saddle. Next time out, he did. And won. Time after that, he reverted to type and came last. Hausl signed as a 5 “only had to exceed his average” to be a good signing. How did that work out? Shanes will fill a gap, but, after so long in the sport - and I know he has missed long spells due to injury - he’s not going to substantially improve. Fine for a team whose main aim is survival but no use for any club with a desire for success. IMO -
I don't think any Premiership heatleaders (top 3) should be able to ride in the Championship. The gap needs widening.
-
Batchelor heading to Plymouth, he’ll be a solid scorer at home. Nicholls will be back along with Barker also so at least plenty experience in the team
-
The 'Hobby' league that has more teams and more senior professional riders in it than the 'mini' loss-making league.🙈🙉🙊
-
I hope they have some heat leaders lined up as most rumours are linking Danny King back to Redcar and obviously not sure if Scott Nicholls is riding next season
-
Only stipulation is highest averaged ride has to ride at number 1, you can place your other riders anywhere in the 2-5 riding order, but usually have second highest at 5 and third highest at 3
-
Why would they move and have the extra expense, the moved down for it was not making enough money. They are the best supported Club in the Championship. Most Clubs in UK are losing money over the season and just surviving.

Same old same old, been their done that
