I get where you are coming from... Integrity has always been something many have considered "lacking somewhat" for a long, long time.. That lack of independent administration will always hod the sport back given turkeys won't ever vote for Xmas...

Agree... But that first timer needs to be treated differently than they get treated currently... Kids clubs should be a basic at every track, with the aim of getting anyone circa 12 and under signed up... Easy to do if you are providing free tickets... That way you can keep in contact with the family, and, hopefully, get them to make repeat visits... Even if it is at a reduced admission... These people are not there now, so nothing to lose and all to be gained...

I dont think this happens as much nowadays but if it looks a bad one the crowd usually goes very quiet, otherwise the crowd is cheering because that rider will be out of the race and it is an advantage to the team. It happens everywhere. -

Been twice to Poole whilst down there working. First time I saw Scott Nicholls (Leicester) fall and the Poole crowd cheered, second time I went Bomber (Rye House) fell and again the crowd cheered, a guy sat next to me and laughed so I asked him why they do that before they even know if the rider is injured, his answer was "it`s something we do and don`t care if the rider is injured", so I told him what I thought of him and he didn`t speak to me again 😂 -
This would be the type of punter that would attend once and then probably never again I'd say the chances of becoming the desired regular fan would be increased significantly watching Emil as opposed to Simon Unfortunately I accept the cost of attracting more of the Emil type quality is beyond almost all of the current clubs

100% correct, Corbett was the owner of the land at Stoke. Not too sure if he's in trouble as the bookies round Stoke of his seem to be closing as well, maybe he's just concentrating on the Welsh side of the business.

It should concern Matt and Danny when people say they are not returning as a direct result of what seems to be a very small cluster of abusive spectators (I won't use the word 'fans'). At next meeting with Glasgow -- there's bound to be at least one! -- the promotion should keep a watching brief on this cabal, identify those concerned and warn them against causing further trouble. A public statement regarding the incident (and, if security had to be called, it happened) might also be sensible. -

Kevin and Jan going on Sunday. Always good greeting from home fans. Pity a couple of IDIOTS have caused all this media coverage. Let's talk speedway.

Speedway updates or Poole's twitter/X platform will carry updates, unless of course BSN can be pressured to cover it!!!?

I can't say what happened. I was in my grandstand seat applauding every race as usual and enjoying the great atmosphere from a large crowd . What gets me is all the 'holier than thou' people on here who won't admit that EVERY club has at least one or two idiots that act irresponsibly - usually alcohol-fuelled! Moving on.... are both teams using r/r or a guest on Sunday?? -
In 2026 they are using a harder compound tyre in the extraleague which will in theory give the bikes less grip so engines will have to get de tuned to get more forward momentum, sounds good in practice and I hope this has been tested out and not just brought in and we have a situation like the solid block fiasco

Cami should know better not too get involved .IMO -
It's not necessarily that it no longer appeals - I lost touch with it as soon as it disappeared from BBC as it was something to watch in the school holidays and the sunday league game. Now I couldn't tell you who any of the players are or where to watch it and all this choice for TV I think has played a part in its downfall.

This is all good stuff and basically correct re riders/skill & availability. However, trying to make one league with sufficient number of teams to race over six nights simply won’t work on a number of levels the most notable being a disparity in skill level unquestionably creating an unacceptable level of dangerous racing - & frankly not particularly entertaining. To get nearer to what one Super League could look like, re run your model based on fixed race nights “as is” and there should be sufficient riders to have 8 teams competing which would include current GP level riders. With no doubling up, the remaining tracks could run semi-pro leagues and individual meetings to include riders from the Super League. But let’s be honest about this. Unfortunately the vast majority of the current promotions have too much self interest at the very root of their thinking which negates any possibility of significant change in the way UK speedway is structured. This unfortunately means we can have as many thoughts & Ideas on what would be best for the sport, but sadly they will remain just “thoughts & ideas.
