Berwick v Scunthorpe07/05/26 Championship 7pm
Fromafar replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
They will be hoping it pours down tomorrow🤔😂 -
We agree on he should be excluded. You compared the incident to him to trying to kill someone.. so surely he should be punished? You're deluded
-
Huh? Think you've eaten too many skittles 😁 We definitely don't agree on the oh let's forgive him he's only a boy issue and I never called for any further punishment, you must be mixing me up with another poster.
-
I'd have thrown him from the meeting and that's it.

The forecast I see, shows it'd be dry from 2pm onwards, so did they call this one off too early? Like has been suggested, probably a blessing in disguise for Berwick. - Today
-
Ok so we agree then? Ridiculous chastising a youngster the way you have. If it's so bad that he tried to kill someone then you'd want him to be punished?
-
What else do you expect? Any infringement in a race which causes a fall is always an exclusion, if Ray Charles isn't refereeing.
-
Is that it? After all your chastising we agree?
-
What for Rushen or any other rider that does it? Exclusion from that race.

Repeat post

We need to decide shortly if Mario stays or goes. He was awful in ht1, gifted a point in ht6 then matched Harris for speed in ht10 running the inside line. He doesnt seem to like running high up the boards and hasnt been much of a gater so far. He might come good but also might not. Making changes doesnt always guarantee making improvements.
-
Bike time should do him good. I think his place in the team is safe until his average drops below 5, when it’s about to drop below 5 that’s when I think you have to take action.
-
Ok so what would you see as appropriate punishment then?

Redcar v Poole Friday 8/05/26
ASpeedwayfan replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not suggesting foul play, the forecast was terrible (according to BBC) and I think it’s fair to say Redcar will be happy that they can stage the meeting when they have a stronger team available. The postponement benefitted Redcar but I like watching the pirates round Redcar so hopefully next week the sun will be out and there will be a stream. -

Stock cars / Bangers don't run weekly at Northampton. Sometimes they are on consecutive weekends, but usually there are 2 or 3 weeks between meetings. Interestingly, I was watching interviews with F1 stock car drivers last night from the meeting held there last Saturday and they were commenting that there was more material on track than at the previous meeting. One thing that should please everyone is that I am not seeing any complaints on here about the surface being rough last night, despite there being torrential rain mid-meeting on Saturday night. If there were going to be issues I would have expected them to show up after that.

Is this a return to form for a fit again Scott nicholls? He seemed to. E more comfortable on the bike tonight. Thought the best ride of the night was Danny King stalking and passing `Kyle Howarth. That and Hodders pass.

Glasgow vs Plymouth CL 08/05/26

Surprising what the threat of the sack can do 😉 -
Went again last night. Last Heat decider, from 12 down. So reasonable excitement until the end. Wonderful display by Kye Thompson, taking the scalps of Fricke & Bomber. 18+1 from 7. Did his job and MORE. Thoroughly deserves any plaudits he's getting today. Scored as many as Cook & Kerr combined. Who I think were admirable stand-ins (wouldn't see Zagar getting Cooks points) The disappointing thing for me, was Lidney, Klindt (after a 6 ride max the night before) & Batchelor. They're not world beaters, but would expect them to collect around 20 points at home. They totalled 5!!!!!! I know there may well be reasons for some of it, but come on. Will be going to the next meeting & we're already talking about the trip to Leicester in July.

Yeah, I expected JJ being in 15. Hope he's okay. Thought the riders done really well, better than I expected to be honest . Like has been said guests and R/R is far from ideal. Thanks to Ryan Ingram and in particular Daryl Ritchings for taking the guest bookings. -

A lot better result than expected UTC 🔵⚪🏁 -
2 things to save the season. Tell Meredith not to enter a G postcode. Keep Brown away from anything to do with the team.

Enjoyed that, not much in the way of passing, but as seems usual in Poland, most races have at least three riders in contention for most of the races.... With every race a stand alone event in the eyes of the fans... A drawn heat? Meh... A lost heat? A disaster of biblical proportions . A won heat? Let's get the party started... A big crowd, away fans, a bit of tribal atmosphere, and you have something worth attending again...
