British final 15th August
DJC replied to Neila's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
BRITISH SEMI-FINAL QUALIFIERS: Craig Cook, Anders Rowe, Kyle Howarth, Drew Kemp, Jordan Jenkins, Connor Mountain, Jason Edwards, Ben Barker, Dan Gilkes, Alfie Bowtell, Simon Lambert, Sam Hagon, Luke Harrison, Luke Killeen, Jake Mulford, Joe Thompson. SEEEDED TO BRITISH FINAL: Dan Bewley, Tom Brennan, Leon Flint, Chris Harris, Danny King, Charles Wright, Adam Ellis, Dan Thompson. Why only one semi, with almost 15 riders from the championship not involved - including Britain's 2 biggest prospects (presumably they'll get the wild card spots). Is it based on last years results same as the GP qualifier picks? Including Bowtell over the likes of Scott and even Albitt is mental, regardless -

Championship Predictions 2026
PersonalResponsibility replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If clubs cannot manage to complete their fixtures in a 9-team league between the beginning of April and the end of September, there is no hope. Berwick's first scheduled home meeting was 4th April and their last scheduled reserve date is 26th September - that's 25 weeks. -

Changes for Dackarna: @racers and royals Bastian Perdersen is not riding due to his crash in Poland yesterday. Jakub Krawczyk is replacing him and since Jacub's average is higher then THJ:s Jacub will be riding as nr2 and THJ will be riding as nr 7. - Yesterday

Its a fair cop, the cartel is to blame, the cartel is to blame!! -
Still looks a tough ask with 2 home defeats already, but they now look better placed than Plymouth. Could do with taking points off Edinburgh & Berwick.

Scorpions v Gladiators 3rd July
mikebv replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Maybe a factor, but, for me, it's the huge drop off in the number of riders capable of holding down team places... Hence the majority DU just to provide 15 teams of the "desired" levels.. In the 70's, hundreds of lads tried to be Speedway riders, and "training schools" were the norm at many tracks... Now, so few come through, that the "old heads" actually keep the sport going.. -

I would say the introduction of air fences, has definitely been a factor in riders going on into in to their 40s. Riders bodies in the 80s and 90s took a lot more punishment with solid fences taking no prisoners, hence imo thats why a lot of riders didn't make it past their mid 30s. -

You forgot the under track heating and the hospitality suite with Jacuzzi but apart from those two small items you got the rest covered. -

Västervik (where I'm planning to be looks equally terrible) -
I’m saying it because the day i posted they did not show any match next Tuesday on 2 places but did for the 21st/22nd matches. 1/ daily schedule 2/ the Speedway fixtures section where the 3 dots are. If you want to have a go at someone i suggest you talk to scheduling in Ireland ! Edit just checked and Tuesday is streaming only listed.
