  2. Regarding the quotes of “if this fails, Speedway is over, and it will never return,” they were an unusual statement to make on a local BBC news report by someone who was supposed to be advocating for the proposed development. However, given the negative tone and the fact that the individual was not particularly enthusiastic about the project, it is understandable why you perceive this as a token gesture. Of course, knowing Osbourne, it is a very fair observation. Nevertheless, the negative responses from the local residents of Wootton Bassett appear to be genuine when considering their misinformed comments about Speedway. Additionally, there are numerous applications for house building in their area, so it is likely that they are also concerned about the potential impact of the Speedway stadium. In conclusion, the speedway public at large should register their support using the link posted above. This initiative primarily aims to secure the Abbey Stadium and prevent any further permissions until the fate of the Studley facilities is determined.

  5. This is the sort of comment that always confuses me, so if Mountain had a poorer season you'd want him back, but as he improved you're not so keen? Zaine Kennedy - Zaine has progressed nicely this year and deffo has potential to grow into a heat leader. On an average just over 5 I would say he needs to snapped up for next year before someone else does. I think I would prefer Mountain to Zaine tbh. Zaine scored his points in the (on paper) easier reserve position (7) & top 5 position (2). For that reason I'd prefer Declan to Zaine, first season over here put into the (on paper) harder team spots (6 & 3) in theory if say he has more improvement in him than Zaine. If I was a Scunny fan I would be happy with all 3 back. Like you, struggling to see where a new number one will come from. But there could be some heat leader movement from clubs like Poole, Glasgow & Redcar.
  6. Don’t be silly. Surely our excuse from the first leg carries over?……🙄…..lol
  7. With the forecast, could be a river, more than a stream 😂
  8. not really sure what your point is as brum leicester and oxford do in house streaming
  9. He is using a local NL riders equipment only thing that’s different is he has had a drive belt system fitted to the bikes to keep them like his Danish bikes
  10. i recon they are trying to cut costs, on rider wages, especially with the riders they have, might help even up the league,
  11. Perhaps Glasgow could ask Andy and his crew if they would do it. They do a tremendous job at Poole and Plymouth. Might be worth it as a one off.
  12. Glasgow now have no excuse when it is run as they will be full strength.
  13. No offence but how's Jack Holder gone from Lublin all the way down to Gorzow? That's like Kyle Walker going from Manchester City all the way down to Burnley. Jack has been brilliant for Lublin, He's also a rider on the up who's only going to improve and get better with each passing year.
  14. Absolutely 👍 will be keeping a close check on this!
  15. Cooper announced as riding for the Thurrock Hammers at the IoW on sept 9th!
  16. I wouldn’t bother. The whole side needs changing except Harrison. However that won’t happen as the promotors likes to stick with the old faithfuls instead of bringing fresh blood in.The crowds were down this season and will remain so if changes are not made.
