  1. Past hour
  2. Kemp is too cocky for someone who hasn't achieved anything in the sport
  3. Someone is going to have to make me familiar with his game. Looks decent on Instagram
  4. If Northampton start the season, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they don't finish it...
  5. Maybe he was thinking of established clubs having to fork out big on points money for their riders when they win away at the new club and thrash them at home?
  6. Have a look at the BSPL accounts…..they aren’t financing anybody !
  7. A disappointing but understandable decision from Belle Vue not to enter an NDL team but to concentrate on grass routes development to hopefully unearth enough talent to fill a seventh team in the future. It was a struggle last season filling a team and with lads graduating out of the league it would have been harder this year. Couple this with Buxton opening twenty odd miles away and it’s a no brainer to not be unnecessarily competing with them for local lads and custom whilst they look to cement their place back in the sport. It’s been a big financial burden over all these years but a necessary one given the general dearth of rider development in this county. Theres trying times ahead for top flight clubs so it’s understandable that some will look to cost cutting and reading the bigger picture when it’s required. To all the many ex Colts gracing our leagues I saluted you and wish you all the best.
  8. Count me in, I'd probably go when the Lions aren't riding, like I used to Peterborough, Peterborough was a race track worth travelling for though...
  9. Someone is going to have to make me familiar with his game. Looks decent on Instagram
  10. Must be hugely frustrating. I just hope a league structure is in place for 2027 that makes better use of the younger riders wanting more fixtures.
  11. In terms of catchment for Northampton, here are some possibles: Coventry 49 mins Birmingham 1 hr 7 mins Wembley 1 hr 15 mins (a friend of mine lives there and said he would travel to the stadium) Milton Keynes 28 mins (almost a revival of Milton Keynes speedway) Peterborough 59 mins Leicester 54 mins Based on the above and bearing in mind it is a nice stadium, which could mean it could be used for some Blue Ribbon events, sounds a good possible to me!
  12. Today
  13. Thank you for your helpful reply. However I can’t see anything on their website about registering. Only appears to be information on buying season tickets and the season opening individual meeting. I’d be grateful if you could point me in the right direction.
  14. all this rumours of signings people clamming there in the know is all part of whats wrong with speedway if theres something to announce just announce it dont start tales off 2 days before hand also the trusted few who are leaking stuff shouldnt be the ones in the know
  15. It will be 7pm tonight then. Reserve or second string?
  16. I just hope the BSPL are helping to finance Northampton cause the chances of them getting viable crowds is remote in this day and age at a venue that hasn't staged speedway for 59 years when it was a training track/open license venue (you must question why 2nd Division racing wasn't tried there in the 1968- early 80's glory years of the old National League/ Division 2? ) and also in an area that is a has lots of ethnic minorities who nearly all aren't interested in speedway. Team wise they have to be competitive which will be a struggle given the lack of riders and then you have a situation similar to Birmingham last season where they were just making the numbers up with an inferior team and getting crowds around the 500 mark.
  17. Sam Dingle out of Emmerdale would be perfect synergy......

  19. A handsome, successful, wealthy, and savvy investor taking his club to the next level, somewhere they've never previously seen. Or Ryan Reynolds at Wrexham. They're not too dissimilar tbf.
  20. You get the feeling that any rescue package a major backer comes in on will be conditional on them getting a large share of any future TV deal.
  21. Didn't Buster get quoted as saying promoters would need to "dig deep" to bring in another club?.. Maybe its a collective effort?
  22. He turned down offers before the season started though.Cant have it both ways surely.Introducing rules that can be manipulated as usual.
