Sheffield v Leicester- 25th June
IainB replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Of course! So he didn't miss a meeting over here because of it? If he wants to waste his time travelling over to Poland for no rides that's his lookout I suppose 👍🏻 - Today

I don't watch BSN so didn't see the original running, but that exclusion was a complete non-event. Rushen moves slightly wider to avoid his teammate, he doesn't even run Etheridge to the fence. Can you imagine Etheridge in an Ekstraliga first turn? I know he wouldn't be within 50ft of any other rider, but if he thinks that's hard riding...!

It was announced as 66 seconds which was around 10 seconds slower than conventional heats that day but nearer to the times clocked at Monmore back in 1973.

Plymouth v Edinburgh Championship 27th June

Nicholls is having a great season. So too is Kye. It was a good meeting and it's amazing what they have done down there at Plymouth. The promotion have really pushed speedway and created something to boast about. From tiny acorns etc. -
If you show the first running of this heat you can see cooper clearly kicks his leg out to stop jye getting over him into the corner, before riding into the side of him and crashing the ref asked to see it a couple of time and maybe gave coopet the benefit of doubt in that one and maybe thought about that when making the decision about the rerun

Glasgow vs Poole 26/6/26
Nickinho replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The thing about last Friday's fixture is that the flash storm was expected to start at 3pm and finish at 7pm. In reality there was only a 15 minute downpour at 3pm and then it was nice again. Cancelling the meeting was a bit too impulsive imo. -
Followed by Epic finish in Moto2 race.👍👍

Sam Masters rode one during interval at his testimonial and think was only about 3 or 4 secs slower over the 4 laps.He said it was great fun.

No as he rides for Oxford. -
So Craig Cook can ride in a memorial meeting but not for his team!

I think Berwick should be kicked out of the competition for what Etheridge did In the first running he had another rider kick out at him In the second running he was taken wide and fell 50/50 incident But for Jye to get up and throw 7 or 8 punches at another rider was disgraceful…. Does he not know the other rider is only young?? How dare Jye be infuriated to this level If only Jye had walked over to Rushen and just slapped his shoulder then every speedway fan could have understood his frustration and nothing more would have been said ….. even Rushen would probably have laughed it off But what Jye did was nothing more than assault and really takes the shine off of the win …..

Championship Predictions 2026
szkocjasid replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think it's shaping up to be an interesting end to the season, different clubs in different competitions, instead of the situations where the same clubs met in multiple competitions. The play-offs could involve Edinburgh, Glasgow & Scunthorpe, all who have been knocked out of the BSN & KOC. A club like Redcar struggling in the league, still in the BSN. Berwick vs Plymouth in the KOC final, when's the last time either club made any final? (Not counting the Young Shield for "also rans"). It should make it easier to organise the play-offs, as we don't have the situation where say Poole were meeting the same opponent 2 or 3 times in October trying to fit the matches in, partly because of the BSN & KOC not being left to the end of the season, well done BSPL for that forward planning 👏 Although I can still see the play-offs being delayed as some clubs have ridden so few league fixtures, but still have a quiet few weeks coming up, will the weather is poor in August, leading to play-offs being raced in October? -
Cracking Moto3 race today, these young guys are mental and crazy.
