  1. Past hour
  2. A real shame to be shutting down with over 2 months of the season still to go then šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
  3. Got to get this off my chest. Has anyone noticed that riders are now regularly removing their cut out connectors from their wrists before reaching the pits after a race is completed. Last week Cameron Heeps took his off in heat 15 of Oxford v Poole on the third bend of the last lap when at the back. I know you can argue it’s low level risk but why not keep it attached until the motor is deadened? Must be some rule or other about this?
  4. Hopefully Ellis is ok. We’ll find out when the Sheffield preview drops on Tuesday. If he ends up missing the play offs, then Rew has to come in to the equation surely? Average fits, and he still feels like a Witches rider so more palatable than someone else. After a slow first half of the season, he’s ridden in to good form the last third of the season also.
  5. If ya thinking about Scotty then he may be an option at reserve around Foxhall if Ellis is gonna be out for a while, he started off slowly his first few meetings back but seems to be back on it now.
  6. Again another great night at Plymouth and another big crowd who loved every moment. The crowds are getting bigger and it’s consistent, it really is rising in popularity in Plymouth and the work the media team, Barry and mark have done is incredible. not sure how to post videos from Facebook on to here but there is a brilliant one summarising the evening and it really engages with the locals. Also the touch of added brilliance of the fire work display really added to the event. I feel like Plymouth could be a team to watch next year šŸ‘€
  7. would love to see Drabik in the gp ,just to boost his ego, a bit
  8. Today
  9. Maybe the guest is a former witch who spent the majority of his career at foxhall
  10. It's a farce rather than a genuine Championship since the clowns in charge interfered in politics by eliminating the then World #1 & 3. Both still in good enough form to suggest they are among the top 15 in the world. Given their absence, here's my pick for 2026: GP7 BZ BK FL DB JH AL MF/RL SEC PD SGPC DK LM KW (AL) MJJ WC3 MF/RL MM/AT ??? Hopefully WC's are picked on form (including League form), rather than an FIM need to promote based on geography, however I can't foresee them choosing a 4th Dane, and geography might mean Kvech or Vaculik, despite his lack of competitiveness this season. If AL can overtake PD in the SEC, then Dudek really should get a WC. Beyond the obvious, if selectors were inclined to fresh blood over marginals, then Drabik or Piotr Pawliscki have good enough league form to suggest they could be competitive.
  11. Yesterday
  12. First trip to Workington’s new home, great venue, really impressed its definitely got room for growth. As for today’s racing it was really hampered by an ultra slick powdery surface which the water just couldn’t adhere to and soak in so was simply back to being dry and dusty in minutes. The inside line was the place to be for the vast majority of races. Impressive performances from Fraser Bowes and Anti Voulas, with good back up from Jye Etheridge and Jacob Hook. As for Glasgow the just couldn’t get out of the gate, Kyle Howarth was always there or thereabouts in his 5 races resulting in winning ht15 and spoiling the two home riders maximum hopes. It'll have been said before but sure this venue would benefit from floodlights and have evening meetings under lights where the moisture will start coming up naturally rather than battling with the heat and wind during the afternoon meetings, but it’s a track I’ll come back to again
  13. If you could spare some time to help out and bring a few buckets up from the beach that would be beneficial. Maybe bring a few extras for the seating as they might need a wash too.
  14. How many points have we lost due to lack of support from the bottom 3. We should have been nailed on for a playoff place instead a bit like my school reports could do better. Get the top 4 signed up for 2026 ASAP.
  15. Lynn to win by 20, Tungate to drop his mechanic live on Eurosport.
  16. I think Nicolai is deserving of a testimonial for his commitment to this country. Albeit, he's not served 10 years at a single club, he has given 17 years to this country. Also, his commitment to Kings Lynn, as it probably is for any club he rides for, is deserving. He has earned the Captains armband, for his presence both when things are going well, but also he's not afraid to front up when the team, or even himself, have had a bad night. For 2026, would I take him back? Yes i would. Those awful Witches look like they will be in or around winning the title, and these are the starting and current rolling averages. Jason Doyle 9.36 8.42 Emil Sajfutdinow 9.12 8.38 Tom Brennan 6.52 7.09 Danny King 6.14 6.64 Adam Ellis 5.47 5.88 Dan Thompson 3.11 5.42 For Nicolai to be effective, he needs to have a top 2 above him, dare I say a Lambert and Kvech, a couple of riders to take the pressure off him. He can then Captain and ride with freedom, and I can still honestly see him putting something on his current 6.42. We need 3/4 riders who will improve from 2025 to 2026, and a number 1, whoever that may be. A strong number 6 has worked to an extent this season, and maybe a fit Ben Cook would still see us challenging for a PO spot, but I don't think we are that far away.
  17. Jack Smith has been about for 10 years and you would think he should be scoring against most reserves.Couple of good races every month is all you get.
  18. Ayee good one stick 50t on it and take the stop tap off the mains and flood the track so that the home team have no advantage!
  19. They dont need to mention the club anymore then they are allowed to! This track is the blueprint of speedway whether it needs watered or not.
  20. Said on the stream that Wood was seeing the paramedic about his finger. Probably why hagon was in heat 11. Wouldn't have got the tactical if it wasn't a 4-2 in the heat 11 anyway.
  21. Unfortunately the majority of riders only think off one thing .Themselves.
  22. No, the promoters didn't! Had to pay their four top-earning riders for three away legs on the proceeds of one home meeting. The meetings were popular in the 'seventies, when costs were much, much lower. To try and run such meetings now would be a financial disaster. Be cheaper to hire Bartosz for a meeting.
